  1. It's true and I agree 100%. But what if it's still are a problem? It's not always a girlfriend or life companion that is the solution, but it helps alot. Good friends in need and in trust is actually not the easiest to find, often do you find the bad ones who looks like good friends. Cheers Jens
  2. Hi,This is an very intresting discussion, or should I say exchange of expirence as this sounds better and more constructive than discussion.I'm not quit sure what kind of person that I am, but I've told that I have many emotionel conflicts, and that might depends of my past and at least my grown ups. And my biggest project is "How to learn to show feelings" and "How to learn to cry", or "Feelings for dummies" and "Crying for dummies".If you have an massive emotional wall or filter, how can you break it down and accept that even that you're a man, are you also allowed to both have feelings and to cry. But when I was growing up was these only an indication of weakness and not an force. So now my first question in this forum! How can I break down these walls? I really hope that someone else had something to give here.Again thanks for an great forumCheersJens
  3. Hi,First at all would I like to give my greatings to this forum. I think that what ever you are and what ever you are from, would discussions about social life always be a important things to discuss, as at the time many people in our corner of the world has huge leak of social contact with ohters.I'm sorry that this isn't exactly an question other that an comment, even I have many expirence about life and ups and downs, and the most of the downs had been in realations of others egoism and violence (physically, psysically and even economic violence)Peace, force and joyJens
  4. Hi,The US Elections is now over, and I'm as an European sad to know that Bush did won. By the way does I still think that it's still good for the seperation between the EU politics and US politics. Strange that noone dosn't set any questions about the trouth of the US election, doesn't any think that it was a little strange that an video from Bin Ladin came up as close to the election as it did. And did any thought about what happen with the Oil prizes? Truely doesn't I spend much more time about that, I have my oppenion about what is going on over there, but I keep it for my self. There is too much better things to spend life on.CheersJens
  5. I don't know what you understand with Hard Core, but I agree that it isn't Metal and it isn't either techno, but it was born out of Punk Rockers like Dead Kennedys R.I.P. etc. Metallica has sent several tribute to these days late 79-80.
  6. Hi, When this music forum was added was Metal forgotten, why? I've been into Metal for several years and listning to the most of cathagories in metal from the extremly soft AOR like Boston, Kansas..etc. and to the most parants worst nightmares Thrash, Death, HardCore, Black Metal like norwigan style as Satyricon and Immortal. But the scene is a little rusty at the moment and very hard to seperate into cathaogories, and not like when I was young :-) With only few genres like Speed/thrash metal as Metallica, Death Metal as Death and Morbid Angel and the rest like Europe..:-( I hope that this would made some funny discussions and just a lot of fun...:-) Cheers Metal Up! Jens
  7. Hi,I like most music and as an old headbanger hasn't forgot the roots..:-)Metal:Death, Black, Gothic, Viking (I am a Viking..:-) ).... Everything that smells and stinksAlternative:Like.... Enigma, Enya, Kate Bush etc.And I hate overnight pop musicCheersJens
  8. Hi,I realize that there might be some who think it's "cool" with IE clones like Avant Browser , MyIE2 and K-Melon (until today was I only known about K-melon). And I really don't like to add my true feelings about that, as I might get some trouble with doing with an sober language..:-) I think that as long we're supporting the good old and true Mosaique consept, now called Mozilla or Geko, wouldn't we do much mistaken. I do still vote for Firefox and Thunderbird.CheersJens
  9. Hi, You forgot another important point. The most new PCs are "born" with some kind of MS Windows OS. When I got my first PC it was born with Win 3.11, my secound with win 98 and this one with 2000. And another point is MS has been poisened everywhere, at your job, your school...ect. I'm not quit sure if people had an fair choice they would had chosen windows at their first OS. I'm pretty sure that Linux would have a good chance to win this game. I'm not sure, but it just what I feel..:-) Cheers! Jens
  10. Hi,The day when the rest of the world would be released from US are counting. I don't think that it does much matte who is gonna win. But what I'm carring about is one big strong EU, without any US influrence as I think that would he the future.Cheers!Jens
  11. Hi,I was wondering if any knows the path to ImageMagick? At the server or where I can find the path by myself, as I need it into my photoalbum.ThanksBrgdsJens
  12. Hi,I've seen several discussions about browsers arrond the board, but I havn't yet found a poll like this. I think that it could be useful for designers to know which browser to count on when you're design your homepage. Even then that I know that the diffrence between Mozilla, Netscape and Opera is almost zero.I hope that this would be funny..:-)CheersJens
  13. Hi,I've now solved my trouble with XOOPS and it seemed that there was a bug in the include folder, as I did delete it and upload my own include folder and then solved the problem. I might think that you have to reinstall the hosted script. Further is there also a new ver at xoops homesite, ver. 2.0.7.9 (beta). Thanks anywayBrgdsJens
  14. Hi,As I've mentioned a couple of times b4, then is PHP really the KING. ASP and ASP.NET is MS VB related and you can't use it much without the Visual Studio dot Net suite and I don't know what it cost in US but I'll say arround 6-7000 USD, and my conclusion is FORGET IT!JSP eats BW. I've been arround several sites using the JSP technology, and they all reminds me about the web in the old days when you where connected to Internet with an 19.2 modem.ColdFusion. Is there really any host or specially free hosts that support that? No more comment. What do we have left...PHP....:-) It's free, it's for normal people to understand, it doesn't eats BW and most important it's supportet on this server more than 100%. And finaly I did learned it, I did tried ASP and ASP.NET and it did let me screaming away. That my opinion!CheersBrgdsJens
  15. Hi,I've been seen many extremly cool sites made in flash, but as mentioned around does it takes bw, and if you're sitting with dialup connection to borring. Then next isn't it as easy as regular pages to design for regular people. You have to be designer or expirence with video productions.I hope that multimedia pages would came in a new format in the future, that would make it easier for all to both most important to download and also to create own work.So until then is my opinion: Flash rocks, Flash sucks! (Sorry macromedia)CheersBrgdsJens
  16. Hi,First time when I did get into PNG was when Macromedia released their first fireworks. I had heard about it from several computer mags, but never used it. It's true that there was many weaks about compatibility at the beginning, but today does I think that it's more than implimentated, and I haven't heard about any problems (without as always MS problems) and the most webservers have PNG too. So if you had an ISP without PNG implementation, then go find some other as I wouldn't count at them at all, tx Xisto who support PNG format..:-)It's only me who might be a little conservative, who haven't changed my images into PNG and use it as a rule. But I would do it in the future, as PNG has the most and specialy animated and transperance, and then can you even replace your jpg's.I think that PNG is here to stay, and then that it might be an question about time when gif would leave us to rest in peace. R.I.P.Cheers!BrgdsJens
  17. Brilliant..:-) Thanks alot for your help. Then I can get to work. Brgds Jens Update: I did tried now and yes, it actually did works. Cool :-)
  18. Hi, I've seen vBulletin on many proffesional sites, but can it be true that it isn't for free? I really like the design, but not as much that I wanna pay for it. Brgds Jens
  19. Hi,I've been trying several of bb scripts for PHP, and without phpbb do I recommand also Phorum and PunBB, as they are very easy to modify. I don't exactly remember their adresses, but as all other script that I've found is they to find at hotscripts.BrgdsJens
  20. As I'm still a little new at the forum, and still haven't got an overview to find the right theme to post, would I post this question here.I hope that I can find some specialists here who also had tried to ad the bannerad into their Xoops. I did went into that specified Xisto link and did copied the code and added into the banner add section in the Xoops adminsystem, but I can't get it up to run.Is there an other way to add the banner? As I would be very sad if my site would disapper someday cause inactivity at forum.I really don't hope that I'm the only one at Xisto who is using Xoops..BrgdsJens
  21. Hi,I don't know if I'm crazy or totally schzofrenic, as I both use fireworks, photoshop and paintshop pro. Of some strange reason does the all tree have each their little speciality. But Illutrator and FreeHand is to advanced to mee.CheersBrgdsJens

  23. Hi,I'm still trying to find out how I can get e-mail through my pop3 email client. Where can I find the pop3 server addr, smpt server addr and why not imap server addr. Please help me...:-)BrgdsJens
  24. Hi, I did install the XOOPS script from the cpanel, but I've been searching to find where the bug is, as everything (almost) is upsite down. Left is right and rigth is left. Since last did I upload the system module and uloaded the upgrade script. But still doesn't it looks like what I like it to looks as still is left right and right left, and at the admin panel are you writing from right to left, and also here is the bottons at the right site not the left site. Look for your self http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Please help me...:-) Thanks Brgds Jens
  25. Hi there, Honestly have I search for an host like this for years. And then finaly did I find it..My first hosted site was as I might had mentioned by another post at Geocities, at the old days b4 yahoo destroyed it. Then had I tried to host at tripod a couple of times, by they keep delete it cause leak of traffic...???? And then also these borring hosts you're getting together with your IP access, where you can't do anything else than upload a site without cgi, php or any other funny stuffs.I really like to recommand this to everyone that I know who is working with homesites. Thanks alot for this... BrgdsJens
