Linux is far from perfect. . . .Why not jsut wait for the public release of the XP 64 edition, espoecially if Longhorn is gonna be anova fancy lookin old OS in diguise.

Windows longhorn is mainly for new 64 bit chips. "designed to provide the foundation for a new industry wave of innovation" i don't quite believe to be honest. There is Windows 64eXP available for trial, which is a 64 bit version of XP. mmmm i try and make my design fit as many browsers as possible.Although sadly browsers such as older netscapes and Firefox read some code and interpret it in awful ways. I frames is a good example of this. Firefox pisses on al;l the iframe sites ive made and makes them look crap. But thats a browser issue.When making centered sites i make them for 800*600. But i test in 1024*768 and they always look fine.I do sometimes however design sites which adjust to fill the whole width of the site, to fit lots of news, links advertisements etc, but i try and avoid them as i'm not overly confident with that.Basiclly at the moment i don't design with older browsers in mind. I am still learning and refining my skills, if i was to consider the small percentage who still use out dated browsers then it would hinder my progress and my sites.in anut shell: i design for people with new browsers. if a person has an older version then its there issue not mine

I am happily 12% addicted to Counterstrike. What about you? I personlly don't know what all the fuss is about. I find it quite boring and i hate the average person who plays it. mainly because they speak that l337 bollox Ive only ever played it 7 times. and every time there was sum1 in the server moaning and *BLEEP*ing about how ppl are "camping" and how a perosn is a "N00b" because sumone killed them. Although i'm not saying all players are like that, coz they arn't i probably jsut got crappy servers. And i also don't think CSS looks that impressive either. *sigh* i'll go vent my anger at those nerds in the vent forum

My view is fair. I don't support the War, BUT i support our troops out there.hating the troops fighting the war is out of line as they personally have not chose to go and fight this war, they just get told to by ****head prime ministers and presidents, (not naming any names. . . . .nope. . . . no names. . . . .*COUGHBUSH COUGHBLAID*)You can only imagine how it feels to have you buddy die out in the "battlefield" then come back to crowd of people in your own country protesting what you were doing. just not fair in my opinion. Again as said i don't know why this is in driving subv-forum Its more of an Adventure/action game.I loved it. The cars in it where great. loved just crusing around in one of those big openj top cars, occasionaly getting out to beat a ganster to death .But the missiosn where all quality aswell. very involving and "gangster" like storyline, worthy of a film almost. Was frustrating at times, and was by no means an easy game. My only problem was that the repalyability once you had completed wasn't too great. Drive around city, drive around country, kill ppl, kill ppl in trams . . . .Shame there isn't a sequal being made though. Something of the same style and feel with better graphics and more gameplay would be excellent.

mmmm the xbox is a pretty powerful peice of tech, so the Xbox2 can only be better. I just hope they sort otu those god awful playing pads. They put me off the xbox alot. I just didint like the size of them. The PS2 has the best controllers by far, very ergonomiclly pleasing.The PS3 will be something to shout about i think. Can't wait to see how it will turn out, and if they change the design of the controller, which i stronly doubt they will :PThose images (designs) look quite boring to be honest. They look cheap and un-immaginative. Even as fan art could ppl be a little more immaginative than just coping the shape and adding a 2 in sumwhere

Sounds pretty hardcore think i might give it a try. how many units are availalbe in the game, is it focused much on base building, and are the 4 races majorly differernt like starcraft? I'm still waiting for Starcraft 2 That built on the Age of Empires 3 engine would be amazing

But this isnt just about new commers wanted to be hosting,this is also about members having to make at least one 7 line post a week. causing members to resort to talking absalute crap for ages just to get enough characters so that there acocunt isnt deleted automaticlly

I think this new system of post characters = credits is very good. it allows you to automaticlly delete un-used accounts but. . . the conditions of how to get credits have their good and bad side.pros:Members will now make more of an effort to postMembers will make fuller/longer postsMembers will avoid small spam messages for fear of being bannedcons:People will waffle on to reach 300 charactersPeoples posts could easily be made into spam, again just to get to 300 characters.People may start making pointless topics to simply get some creditsThis is not an attack on the system just how i see problems arising. I don't see why you can't simply count all posts made. and just delete one liner spam messages.Any reply from any admins would be good in explaining whats would be wrong with my suggestion.

The New A380 is an amazing peice of engineering. The sheer size of it, wand what it offers, as well as its added efficiency make it truely the greatest passanger airliner in the world. it can carry 555 passengers. That is a hell of a lot of people. Its good to see Airbus doing well. They've already securred many orders for the A380 already. Not surprised really, it is the best out there. The statistics speak for themselves: Although i heard on the radio that they havent actually flight tested it yet so it might plumi, or not even take off. It should, and most defintely will but theres still the slight chance that someone forgot to "carry the one"

Well. . . . when ti coems to RTS there are MANY MANY MANY, to chosoe from Also depends what type of game you want also.I'll do a little shortlist of what i enjoy:If you want to relive Lord of the rings :Battle for Middle EarthIf you want to play a game where you advance through all major ages :Rise of NationsIf you want to play a game where you advance through all major ages and then some: Empire EarthIf you want ancient times :Age of EmpiresIf you want Medevil times: Age of Empires, Age of KingsIf you want Ancient times with added fiction of gods and mythlogy: Age of Empires, Age of Mythology.If you want a fun and balanced fictional war rts: C&C Series, (Tiberian Sun is afavourite). . . . well i could just go on like this to be honest. Starcraft as people have said is excellent despite of its age.Also jsut a questiona bout War Craft 3. What is it like? I havent played it but am curious by the amount of support its got.

Morrowind is an EXCELLENT RPG. The game is so huge i'll last you for ages, and then some. The atmosphere and storyline also make the game worth the buy. Its 3D incase you didin't already know, and the grpahics for it are also very good. You can pick it up at a good price these days, with both expansion apcks, the Tribunal EXP packa nd the Blood Moon Exp Pack. Both excellent additions to an already full game!Although if you ahev the money, PC and Net connectiona nd time go for a MMORPG. It will give you mroe fo a thrill to play with other humans and team up etc, basiclly a bigger replayability factor. EverQuest 2 is suppsoedly really good, a is World of War craft, BUT is in limite dsupply atm since Blizzard held back all unsold copies due to an unexpected popularity of the game and subscritpions. Pretty much the servers couldn't handle the amount of people wanting to play.There are tons of great games out there, you jsut have to look around and read revies, and peoples opinions etc.P.S Fallout 2 is an EXCELLENT RPG with both adventure, Humour and gameplay. Kept me entertained for years

Yes, definetly get a laptop if your goign to be moving around differernt places alot needing to work. Also very useful if you have wireless connection to internet ports. But also with those there are HUGE security porblems. Because of a glitch in the code, a hacker using a lapto in the same area can make his laptop pose as the wireless connection hub, meaning with the right software he can see what your inputting, wither it be msn messenger text or the details of you online bank account and card number Also, in reply to above you would be surprised how easily laptops are knicked. A friend was sitting in UNI at a table, he ahd jsut brought out her laptop and palce dit on the table, he moved a couple meters to a book shelf, looked away from his laptop for a second, and it was gone.same with mobile phones. Mate was in spain, barcelona. 2 children came by, placed a news paper on edge of her table (over her phone), and when the children left, the phone was gone. Sounds really obvious, but i assure you that she said it happened so fast she didint even realise.

The Major point for me is price.You simply get more for your money with a desktop Desktops are better if ya like to tinker with it all.i'm sort of biased anyways, since i don't tend to like working on a laptop. I prfer having a system on a desktop all spread out so i have space, not having the screen and key board a few CMs away frome each other. I'don't like being confindedBut thats jsut a personel preference.Although if i had a ton of money i mite go for a laptop.one thing has come to mind though, yes, you can get some pretty high-end tech for lap tops, but do the cooling systems cope well? (a question not a dig )

Ok, this is how i see it: LapTops: PROS: Mobile, (can take to lectures etc) Small, CONS: Expensive Easily stolen Not easily upgradeable Desktops have more powerful hardware. Battery life Desktops: PROS: Cheaper Easily upgraded More Powerful hardware available CONS: Stationary (or not easily moved) Large Theres my opinions Basiclly, if you need a PC for your dorm to do work on/and gameing then get a Desktop But if you NEED to do work/take ntoes in places other than your dorm then get a laptop.
