I dont know what Im doing writing in this forum topic, im trying to think of something regarding technology so that I can get some hosting credits, so bear with me. Oh yeah.. recently I was discussing with my uncle how a UFO might work, and we came up with the idea that the UFO rides on a radio frequencyy that is controlled by radiant energy. The Ufo simply sets itself to a certain radio frequency and then it zooms to that destinations. Im not sure what exactly you want here, do you want to overlay the workings of a network on this picture? I guess you will have to decide what kind of network you want. peer to peer? client/server? Then you have to decide what the best topology would be for this particular setup. I think If I remember right there are a few types of networks. Token Ring network I dont remember the rest but if you get a "network+" book you should have no problem with topology. Xadoflitan

I have used Trillian on my system for about 4 months, although it takes up less memory than aim and msn, it does run slower on slower machines. For instance, I have a 200mhz pentium and it runs really slow when you are chatting in a yahoo chatroom or on IRC. Other than that, trillian is a great solution to multiple messengers as it combines all chat clients into one buddy list, what I thought was even more cool was the fact that you could add buddies from IRC to your buddy list. You cant really do that with a regular IRC client. So, I thought that was freakin cool. Xadoflitan

Hey thanks for all the advice guys. Yeah I know I shouldnt be using Flash for heavy graphics, or supposed to be heavy graphics, but thats all I had at the moment. Flash can make some pretty neat text effects though if you know how. I bet fireworks does them a lot better though. Havent really ever got the hang of Photoshop, but I think thats what I'm going to be using eventually. As well as Fireworks, and Vecta 3d for 3d flash... Its all so fun, I could spend all my time designing graphics and making web pages, as long as I didnt have some *BLEEP* over my shoulder telling me how to do it. So I guess it will always be a hobby for me.Xad

Screw Norton, screw Macafee! I go with AVG Free Edition all the way man, its the only antivirus with a bootup scanner. It scans my computer at 8am every morning and I dont have to do anything, it updates regularly and has a very comprehensive virus database. It has been a godsend to me since I cant afford neither of those high class fancy programs. AVG is the best free anti-virus out there, and it works great too, the virus scanner is fast too. It only takes me about 30 minutes to scan my system, and it doesnt take up a buttload of ram either. If I had to choose between norton and mcaffee, I would chose Norton... Xad

Hello,I thought of this idea about a year or two ago when it was in its early development stages. I drew up schematics and showed them to my uncle and we both thought it was a fantastic idea. Somehow I was able to think of placing a video wall on both sides of a tank, or a layer of miniature cameras that displayed the image on one side of an airplane to another side, rendering in nearly invisible to the naked eye, and same could be applied to a persons uniform. The military could develop invisibility suits and the like. It sucks when you think of something great and find out someone else has already thought of it. After I drew up all the schematics, I went online to find out if anyone else was producing it, and low and behold some jap had already developed something similar to my idea.Dont you hate that?Xad

Hello/Greetings:My site has been down all morning, I think it's because I upgraded my account and they are transferring everything or something. Anyway, when I try to access my home page, ftp, or control panel, it says NO DNS ENTRY... I just processed my account and had 30 credits taken off my score to get the better #2 package for my website. Is it normal for the site to go down when you upgrade or is this just a server disruption? Like I said, the site has been down all damn morning. It says No page to display, and it's not because of my problems on my end I don't think. What can someone do about this, I'd like to get my site up and running again, I have maintenace to do on it.Admin

This is my personal account of an alien abduction(or just a hallucination).It was about 11pm. I was watching a movie, when suddenly I got this bad feeling in my gut. I had been off my medication for about 2 weeks since the pharmacy wouldn't pay for any more pills for me. Yes, I am schizophrenic, but please don't discredit my account just yet. I thought to myself that this was going to be another bad schizophrenic episode, since my pills wore off. So I decided to drive myself to the hospital which had a mental ward in it. I'd been there once before. While I was driving, I got lost and ended up at a different hospital, St. Vincents Hospital which was about 10 blocks away.They brought me in and asked me a bunch of questions, how am I feeling, things like that. I told them I was feeling very agitated, anxious, and irritable. It seemed like a normal schizophrenic episode to me. Except that gut feeling of course.They wheeled me upstairs and laid me down in a bed. It turns out the other hospital with the mental ward was in deferment, they werent taking any morepatients. Anyway, I was lying in bed Wide awake, and the nurse was doing something at her desk. There was a guard sitting in front of my bed since I was on suicide watch. I had been laying there about 1 hour after they hooked me up to an IV, and gave me several shots to try and ease the hallucinations.Next thing that I remember was the feeling of many tiny little hands under me pushing up on me, and I felt like I was being levitated. I felt like I had gone 3-4 feet above my bed, but when I looked down, I was still on my bed.I looked up and the guard turned into a troll-type creature. His face was rutted and rough. After looking at him for awhile and being impressed with the realism, another creature emerged. I could half see the hospital and half see this creature with a different background behind him. It was a gray. He was about 5 feet tall, grayish-tan skin, his arms and legs and torso were slenderand he had a large upside down triangle shaped head. The top of his head was comprised of 3 waves, one on both sides and one wave in the middle. The top of his head was wavy and lumpy. I remember him having large slanted, black almond-shaped eyes. A small nose, and a small mouth. At this time I think I was outside, or in the spacecraft already, but the grays were using mind control to make me think I was still in bed.The creature raised his hand towards me and he must have cast some kind of spell on me, or telepathically disabled me, because I blacked out, and after that I do not remember anything for the next 2 hours.Later on, I found myself back in my hospital bed, and the nurse came to check up on me. She asked me, "How are you doing?" and I told her, "I'm hallucinating." because I thought thats what was happening. These gray aliens have some kind of mind control techniques they use on us, making us believe and think everything is as it should be when really they are doing stuff to us. We don't realize exactly what happened to us until months or years later, because of the amnesia they give us. That is the only explanation I can come up with. Those aliens had control of the nurse, the guard and more importantly, me, and possibly the whole hospital to conduct the abduction. What made me realize it was not a hallucination was the stark detail I remember of the alien, and the levitation feeling. In reality I was being picked up and carried into the spaceship, but what did I see? > I saw myself still in a hospital bed. Simply amazing. Amazing creature too. I'll never forget this experience, and I have yet to find out thru hypnosis just exactly what happened during those 2 hours of lost time.One thing I believe now is you dont have to be home alone in your own bed to get abducted. You can be anywhere, anytime, with anybody. Could have been an alien abduction, but also, I think its quite possible that I was seeing into a different dimension, like the fourth dimension. Transcending time and space. Or is that I was merely hallucinating, brought on by my schizophrenia.Xadoflitan

So here's how to do it.Before continuing, unplug your mouse from the computer for safety.1. Take your mouse in your hand carefully and turn it over.2. Look for the part of the mouse that covers the mouseball. 3. Take your thumb and middle finger and unscrew the mouseball cover.4. Turn your mouse back over so that the mouseball cover and the mouseball drop out into your other hand.5. Carefully place your old mouseball into the waste receptacle.6. Open your new mouseball package, and put your new mouseball in the mouse.7. Put the mouseball cover on the mouse and twist it back on.Im sure your new mouse will appreciate his new set of mouseballs.Thats it , you're done!Xad

Hi,Im going to teach you how to replace a Floppy drive in a PC. It just takes a few simple steps to do this, it is really not that hard. You can trust me since I have an a+ certification in computer hardware and software. I know what I am doing, I am an expert.1. First of all, you need to shut off your computer. To do this press the power button on the front of the computer after you have shut it down from Start> Shutdown on your start menu.2. Unplug the power cord from your computer. This is the big black/white/grey plug that plugs into the power supply on the back of your PC.3. Unplug the rest of the wires from the back of the computer.4. Find a sturdy flat surface on which to work on.5. Unscrew all screws from the back of your computer except the power supply screws. You will make a mess if you unscrew the power supply screws.6. Open your computer up by taking the side panel off, or sliding the cover off. It might be difficult but it will come off if you have taken all the screws out.5. Now before touching anything inside, it is a good idea to hook up to an anti-static wrist strap. If you dont have an anti-static wrist strap, just touch the side of the computer where it is metal to deshock yourself. Then when you touch the inner components you wont risk damaging any of them.7. Find the Floppy drive, it should be about 1 inch thick 4 inches wide, and 5 inches long. Unplug all plugs from the back of the floppy drive, there should be a wide floppy cable, and a power plug.8. Once you find the Floppy, find the screws holding it onto the chassis. unscrew those screws on both sides of the Floppy drive. Be careful not to unscrew any screws holding the floppy drive together. 9. Now, you just have to remove the Floppy drive, carefully by sliding it either forward or backward.10. Now that you've removed the floppy drive the next step is to install your new floppy drive. To do this, simply slide the floppy drive in from the front of the computer, drivebay facing forward. Plug all the plugs back into the floppy and screw everything back into place.Thats it , you're done!Xad

Now I have another problem with my site though, it says no dns entry when i try to ftp download something, and look at my site, it comes up with no page to display. I dont know what I should do wait till morning? Because I was in the middle of something important with my site when this happened. Xad
