  1. [poor joke]Oh my God, it's the start of the end for humans. Can't you see soon these things will be bigger, stronger and smarter than us. They will sit on top of the food chain turning us into slaves and sources of energy (The Matrix style). Quick we must stop Sony before they progress any further. All robots must be destroyed.[/poor joke]

  2. A poem someone made up ages ago which I semi remember so I can't take all the credit for it. Hope you like it.

I sat today and thought alot

About these feelings that I've got.

About all the good things in my life

The things I treaure deep inside.

My heart is like the universe

Its got the sun, the stars, the years.

Although the sun shines warm and bright

Its still raining in my eyes.

Because without you by my side,

The orbit in my heart just aint right.

You tell me that you love me too

And I hope that it is true.

    Because if you'r lieing

    My heart would go boom.

    I've never been so sure

    About anything before.

But this time I know it's true

Were not meant to be as two.

    Were meant to be together

    As one forever and ever.

Bit cheesy and I know and some bits don't ryhme but it still works.

  3. I love MGS. I haven't played it for long (since it's appearance on the Playstation) but there's something magical about it that makes it feel so much better than Splinter Cell. I think it has to be the brilliant storylines and the cinematic feel of the game (camera angles and lots of FMV) and all those minor details that have been put into the game that make it a bit more special.Splinter Cell is a bit darker and grittier but I never managed to get into it. It is still a cool series but the stories weren't anything to write home about and the gameplay felt so average with only one cool character (Sam Fischer).

  4. Mine works just fine it just has an annoying 'Home Screen' put on by Orange (my operator) and the fact it doesn't have an IR port is a bit annoying as we now have a TV in our house but it's remote doesn't work, and us being student we're too cheap to buy a new 1 so we can retune it and get more than 1 channel. Sorry to go off topic. But yeah, I don't trust 2nd hand phones anymore unless it's from a friend you can trust, and is actually not his phone.I bought a 6600 from ebay about a year ago and after a few months my sim couldn't 'register with the network' or whatever the problem was. The sim card was fine as it worked in other phones and after further testing I discovered my phone had been barred for some odd reason. I can only guess that the original owner barred it for some reason, maybe a cruel joke, or he stole it. But it did come with its box so I'm guessing it's the 1st one.So the moral is don't buy 2nd hand phones.

  5. It's not as simple as pulling everything out and leaving the country and its residents to fend for themselves.Firstly what would the rest of the world think if (after bombing the country to a rubble and killing loads of civilians) the Americans and co just pulled out, leaving the country completely lawless and defenseless. They'd just rebuild into a more anti American force if that happened which would just lead to more terrorist attacks. Possibly a full scale attack on America or one of its allies. The amount of bad press America would get from that would be staggering. And it's not like they are in many people's good books at the moment. And what's wrong with Korea having nukes? Doesn't every other country have their own supply, except for Iraq who were thought to have some but actually didn't.

  6. It would have to be old Wolverine. I'd love to have his mutant power and those claws would be pretty handy at fending off attackers and general ne'er-do'wells causing trouble. Although the psycological problems that come with them might be a bit of a hassle. Also he looks pretty normal so can walk about among humans without too much trouble.

  7. My uni is being wierd and having a halloween party on Tuesday, instead of Monday 31st. Strange. But anyway I plan on dressing up as a fairy for both days and running, I mean prancing about waving a wand and stuff. Maybe go trick or treating but don't know how generous people will be in halls. I might get alcohol instead of sweets though :P

Oh and if you think a fairy isn't scary well I'm a guy who's going to borrow his girlfriend's clothes. And she is a lot smaller than me so there might be things sticking out :P

Hopefully no drunk guys try to grab things either.

  8. I'm sure there are women on the net. But don't expect to find your perfect partner on the other side of the screen. It might just end really badly. And all those success stories you read about on things like match.com or whatever. Well it's called advertising. I wonder how many times they can ask someone for a quote like that out of a thousand. Online dating seems like a lottery. A very scary and disturbing one.

  9. Wow it feels like only recently I got my PS2 and already plans for a new version. Well I guess they were planning on PS3 before PS2 even hit the factories.Anyway since I am a PS2 owner I'm also naturally going to vote for the PS3. I think must buys will be based on fanboism (it could be a real word), i.e. if you own and love Playstation(s) you will more likely buy it's next version whether it's a good console or not.Although right now I'm waiting for the PSP to drop in price. Nothing beats a bit of gaming fun while on the move/in lesson/during break etc.

  10. I know what you mean when you say games are getting a bit dull. It's the fact that they aren't too challenging but there are a few goods one that have to be played.
I'm sure a good RPG will keep you occupied for a while. I don't really play singleplayer ones but Morrowwind, Fallout 1/2, Baulders Gate 1/2, Planescape Torment. I'm sure there are other great ones.
FPS you are sort of limited if you want a truly great game but I would recommend the original Half-Life (so much better than the sequel). Far Cry because it looks beautiful and has an interesting storyline and is sure to challenge you. Deus Ex, mixture of RPG/FPS, quite old but still excellent game, has plenty of content. System Shock 2, another old one but still good. Only problem is I can't get mine to work under Windows XP.
I'm currently playing GTA San Andreas which doesn't seem to hard, missions wise, but if you want to get 100% complete rating then you will be playing for hours. And the freedom will keep you going back constantly, even if it is just for a short blast.
Once you do get a steady net connection then maybe you should go for and MMOG. I'm currently playing EVE Online but if you want to be boring and go for more traditional elves and bearded people stuff then I guess Everquest or WoW is where to stop.

  11. i dont' have a problem with gothic people, they're just being themselves i guess. But what i can't stand is the gangster type of people (especially the asian gangsters). Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that all asian are bad, i'm asian myself. i hate how they dress. Baggy pants and shirts that is down to their knees.  Long spiky hair. The way they talk and everything..they do, made me embrassesed of my own heritage.  The  thing that irratate me the most is that they think they are better than everyone, and only hang around with their little group (filled with asian people like themselves).

Heh, pretty much like me. Although if your not from the UK then our concept of Asian is different.

It's a bit harsh saying you want to hate all the poeple that dress the same though. What about the armed forces that supposedly protect you frominvading countries. Or doctors and nurses and firefighters etc. They all have to wear the same clothes and use the same jargon. Do you hate all of them too?

  12. Yeah... This freeware basically gets a normal-sized picture file into a huge poster that you see along the streets or in the exhibitions..

The process requires quite a large amount of memory if you are going to use it for publication for it's highest quality.

Very simple program. Just that very function it can do...

You pretty much just said what the original poster said. Why?

    Notice from KuBi:
You pretty much contributed nothing to this topic. Warning Issued.

  13. Well it was either Bush or that other guy, Kerry I think it was. And tbh Kerry wasn't exactly a prime example of president material. I think the main thing I remember is that he kept changing his mind over the war. At times he would support it and other times he would say it was wrong or a mistake or whatever. It was probably to keep the voters in that particular area happy but it isn't very encouraging when a supposed leader keeps changing his mind about something as big as attacking another country. I'm sure there were other things but I can't really remember. Didn't watch much of it since I live in the UK, which probably doesn't make things any better for me and the other 60.4 million people living over here. We all know Blair is Bush's lacky. And what did going to war with Bush give us? Bombings. Lucky the 2nd cell was stopped but lots of people still died during the first bombings, which are related to the war in Iraq, for those who may think otherwise.Condolences to anyone who lost someone during that attack.
