A Good Screen Recorder anyone know what recorder is good for me?
PhoenixGFX replied to mra550's topic in Software
Unfortunately, if you're experiencing problem with Camtasia, there's no real solution to screen recording. It's the only program I used in the past year. If you're planning on just doing screenshots (not video) you can use the built in Snipping Tool that's available on Windows 7... that's another problem if you machine is not Windows 7 Ready. For still images, I use Screenpresso. There is a Pro version that allows you to record in HD. Their website is Screenpresso.com -
'smokeless' E-cigarettes - Are they really safe?
PhoenixGFX replied to filmdesire's topic in General Discussion
Sounds like something I should try.Tried everything else, the gum, patches, medication but all failed. The relaps is terrible, Smokers generally get irritable and you don't want to be next to them when a craving attack hits and there's no cigarettes. Will try that as soon as I can find a store that sells them here.I believe the "cold turkey" way is best, tried it once and didn't smoke for about 3 months. Can't remember why I started again. It's a terrible and expensive habit. Not only on your pockets but you health. There need to be some more campaigns highlighting these problems. -
Which Is The Best Laptop Brand Today.
PhoenixGFX replied to contactskn's topic in General Discussion
All the rant about Alienware Systems and those from Apple... I hate both brands because of the price. You can get an almost similar one for half the price... I always liked the Toshiba line for home use and for serious gaming/editing I prefer a desktop. Think about it, by just adding a Solid State Drive in a machine can drastically improve performance. It all comes down to the pocket of the buyer and his/her needs. And like I always say to persons who are looking to buy a new machine, do thorough research... and not limit your questions to one forum.Look at customer support reviews also and the availability of drivers just in case a new operating system comes out and you want to upgrade. For the more knowledgeable we all say build one from scratch. It will cost you less and you don't get that bloatware. My thoughts! -
The title of the post sounds like something else.I still have a few of them here, but don't use them. They're probably in a box in the attic.I kinda hardly use a mouse nowadays, Love my Wacom Tablet. And it feels uncomfortable when holding a mouse because I've gotten accustomed to my stylus.Does anyone remember Floppy Disks? The future generation will say we're crazy and making stuff up.

Antivirus Removal Program Favourite program
PhoenixGFX replied to inea's topic in Security issues & Exploits
I prefer ESET SMART SECURITY. Have been using it for about a year now and did a comparison with AVG, Eset knocks AVG out of the water. But if you don't wanna pay for an Antivirus software, it's better to go with AVG free because it is well reviewed and recommended by others... AVG FREE Homepage -
I can't really disagree, I like Tomorrow never Dies and Golden Eye... but of recent, the Bond movies are a disappointment. The older ones you can watch over and over again... Bond movies are following a trend that people don't really like. We need more as fans, and sadly they are not delivering.

I'm a BIG FAN of Twenty 20 Cricket. The game is filled with excitement and it's better than Baseball or Soccer (in my own opinion, of course).Where I live it's become a part of life, everyone knows about T20 cricket and enjoy watching the games especially when a home team is playing against one of the strongest in the world. I kinda like Moto GP but hardly get the time to watch. For those who haven't seen any T20 games, I suggest that you do...

Like some of the others have said... It all comes down to your hardware. You should verify that your system hardware is Windows 7 Compatible. I also run Windows 7 and Windows XP... I prefer Windows 7 though and only use Windows XP because of the drivers for some of my equipment. There is the option to run Windows XP through Windows 7 using "Windows XP mode"... You can get it for free here: Windows 7 XP Mode Download
