Did I hear it has a Symbian version as well? Definitely going to try it out. The ROM would be legal to download, right? Its copyrights should have expired way back.

That happens quite a lot these days. We hear about so much awesome techs and yet see very few of them actually applied. I guess they sound good in theory but create complications in real-life.

I used to play Contra with my brother on a Nintendo. We also had Maro Bros., Dig Dug, Duck Hunt (with a pistol; I used to wonder at that time how it worked) and that tank game whose name I can't seem to remember.Wow, the good old days...Games were so much simpler then. And still very entertaining.

3 Best Favorites Game ? Post your Best Game Here
Shahrukh replied to liliano's topic in Computer Gaming
For me:1. GTA IV (plus the Liberty City Stories, can consider previous parts as well, they were good 'for that time')2. Mass Effect 1 & 2 (truly epic series)3. Dead Space (very...very intense) -
I would rather call them all IT. But then it would make speech very dull. As other people have said, I think that gender of such things depends on the culture and religion and native language. Sun: He Moon: He. But moonlight is a she. Cloud: He Wind: She Star: He Rain: She Earth: She Because they are referred to this way in Urdu, my native language. Hey! Thats unfair. Men can be pretty nurturing too. And women can be destructive too.

Maybe I've been seeing too much of them. Hmmm...maybe. But buying a OS separately still 'feels' more expensive. Yup. Macs don't score at gaming. My Mac can't even run Dead Space at high quality! (In Windows, of course, with Bootcamp). It runs like a charm in the PC, perhaps due to the i7 processor. Thank you. It really is great. And with the Magic Mouse, all the features are available in a mouse too! (Well, most.) I do miss Aero Effect. Agreed. And even for non-technical reasons, like updating cell-phone software. That can't be done on a Mac for SonyEricsson, Nokia, etc. And Windows based Pocket PCs can't even sync without third party software like Missing Sync or Sync Mate. -
Yup. And the problem seems to be the speed of electricity not being fast enough to allow faster processors. I once read in the Reader's Digest someone's making a DNA based processor; don't know how that's turned out. I also heard that someone is trying a light based processor. Rumour, probably.

Told ya. I am not sure. I used by own email address (that is hosted by by web hosting company) and that failed as well, both for this site and Xisto (a partner site). I guess there is something wrong with the registration script. Or maybe the spam filters of our emails were too tight.
-
That happened to me too. The next day my account was deleted and I applied again using another of my email address (Windows Live) and it worked.

As mentioned here, I was going to buy a new mobile phone. Now I have bought a Nokia 5530. But my brother is currently evaluating it. And he needs a PDF viewer. Is there any free PDF viewer for Nokia 5530? I thought it had built-in support but I was guess I was wrong.

Yup. Some people at my place say that drinking Coke makes your complexion darker and drinking milk makes it fairer! While this is true for milk, because of its nutrients not its colour, its totally not true about Coke making you darker. And sometimes, when a person gets some ailment, he blames it on his habits that he doesn't like. Or some of his companions blame it on such a habit. So, if you mother doesn't like you drinking Coke and you happen to have sore throats often, she'll say its the Coke.
-
Nah, I don't think so.I drink a lot of coke too. Nothing happened to me.In addition, I was visiting a doctor and he said drinking 1-2 glasses per day is not a problem.Of course, over-dosage of everything is harmful...

Yup, my eyes are set on those two. iPhone is too expensive and not very useful here in Pakistan, half the features won't work. Ah. Well, I'll have to wait a bit then. Thanks for the info. My phone's (SE W595) power button got corrupted today. If its gets off once, it will be off for good. Plus the *, 0 and # keys are not working properly for some time now. And worst of all the speaker! I listen to calls from the speaker phone.

SonyEricsson = Good design + interface - reliabilityNokia = Reliability + more features - good looksSo...undecided.

Hello.I am going to buy a mobile phone. And I can't seem to decide which one to get.Currently my favourites are Nokia 5530 and Nokia X6 (8GB).Does anyone know whether X6 (8GB) has been released? And around how much does it cost?According to local sites, it costs between PKR 18,000 and PKR 32,000. But such a wide gap is not possible. Anyone know an accurate price of the phone in Pakistan?I guess I'll have to visit the market soon.

Apple Macbook Pro is the best in my opinion. Especially the unibody, Core i5 ones. You can look up the details here: Apple Mac

Considering today's technologies, we might see very powerful AIs in the future. However, we can see that humans can still out-smart them in most cases. For example, the AI of Call of Duty may be better than a lot of people in combat, but expert players can kill them like ducks.Another point is that computers are good in most things only within themselves, when made into a robot, things are different. For example, an AI of Call of Duty put into a robot will all the appropriate sensors won't be able to do much combat since all the data it had about the player and environmental conditions will not be there.Humans learn through the ages to use their bodies and adapt to the environment, robots can't do that. And their censors can't be that good as human sensory. Also, their processing may seem faster, but a human's brain works way faster than even the fastest processor. Therefore, I don't think computers are taking over the world anytime soon or later.

You are welcome. I used the Mac version once and that did have an option to deploy a desktop application. You should consult their developer pages if you want to learn more. -
Flying Cars In The Future will flying cars exist in the future?
Shahrukh replied to mra550's topic in Science and Technology
Yup, we are better at cleaning up than keeping things clean. Nice! If we flying cars could go that way too, it would be very much practical. With charging stations scattered about, it would make a pretty practical solution. But how to beat gravity? Lifting requires a lot of force. Especially if we want a car that will fly higher than the building. Just hovering over the road won't be much different than current-road-rolling cars. Although, even that would look much cooler, have a much smoother drive, etc. -

Capitalism Versus Comunism The finally battle
Shahrukh replied to fermin25's topic in General Discussion
The systems of that society are the best. The people, these days, however, are not. They're the same as everywhere. both good and bad. Exactly. It has the good points of both the economic systems. Ok, I don't know that much of history, but I guess, you are right. This is what most people do whenever they get the opportunity. -
