Portfolio is very hard to make and it needs patience. First you need many ideas. You should be creative , and you shouldn't request this from users.A bad portfolio is a bad introduction.Stolen idea and put into your portfolio is a plagiarism introduction.Start something simple,and see what it needs , and if you are somebody who needs designer or developer , would you like this design? Making good portfolio design is better for you,and it will give you more customers , because they will see that their website can look cool as yours.

Making popular forum can be easy if the idea is cool. If you are the only one with that kind of forum. Like this one There are only 4-5 forums like this one , with this special feature.But if you have standard forum, you need something hot which will make visitors to come there. Because, it is normal a user to post on a popular forum rather then a new forum which is like dead.

If you use simple DIV construction and use patterns your website should look same in all browsers.Styling option drop-downs is not good and it is not browser compatible. Use javascript alternative for that.

GTA IV is buggy and laggy.If you use patches it is great. I love it. Specially the details and people. Looks real. The only thing i don't like is there is a shadow bug.At 8:00 there is no car shadow,only Niko's shadow. And i think GTA should allow entering in more buildings,and more comunication with other people. That way it will look like realistic Sims :rolleyes:Anyway , all of the GTA versions get boring , because there are not so many special things after mission completing and there are not many interactions.

Web-developer can be a designer too :lol:Web-developer is working the front-end,and he has the "kernel" of the website. And, web developer doesn't need to know SQL or a specific programming language. If he did the front-end, he is a developer Anyway,good post i wanted to say something like this. It is important when you want to get a website and you don't know what you need,a developer or a designer. Designer is creative, but he hates programming and he uses templates and edits them. While,web developer needs to know HTML and CSS and can make a website without any special software.

FarmVille is really hard to play. I have too much work,school,web development and no time for FarmVille. There is a farmville mania i hate. People pay to others to grow their farm and to give them gifts. So stupid.Also there are competitions who is on the 40th level or 41th level and people like the ones with the most cash This is disaster. Just trying to find out the profit of FarmVille authors... Thousands $$$. I know many people who paid about 50 euros to get farmville cash.

For now , there is no live for Html5... There are many IE6 users or Netscape users where Html5 is not implemented. If Microsoft release some warning that IE6 or 5 should be updated , maybe users will change to new one , but that is fail :angry:It would be a big problem to say "IE6 is crap and you should upgrade to IE7" but that is the solution Usually i ignore the upgrade messages , like many users do

I use Mozilla Firefox on Windows because of the addons and cool personas Sometimes i use Google Chrome but most of the use is for testing my website how it looks. People,how your Chrome is faster then Firefox? My Chrome slows down my system and it is very slow :unsure:Is there some trick or option to make it faster? I like the concept of Chrome and it's design , so i want to use it , but it is very very buggy.

Apple ones are the best but it is not simple to afford them... They have very good OS and hardware specially if you want everything simple and fast.Also Sony is a good brand with many laptops and quality. I think Sony is the best solution for <1000$

If you checked your hardware and it is OK , reformat your disk again , get a new clean version of Windows 7 (or XP if needed) , then try to install new driver updates ,defrag your partition , install anti-virus , scan all your partitions , and check if everything is faster.Maybe you got some crappy CD with bad version of your XP SP3 , specially if it has autoinstaller , and it has malware in it. It is very possible.

ASP has more platforms but because the normal version is not free and it automatically formats your code,and it doesn't have support like others,i will choose PHP. All websites i did are in PHP and they will be.PHP is easy to learn , it has syntax like C or Perl and it is fast. That is why most popular services like Facebook,Twitter,Tinypic are in PHP. Also PHP can be used in networks and it is good for getting control of servers. The cool thing is that it have support everywhere , just google your problem and you can see that 10 more people have the same problem. That is because PHP is very used,and there are many people,even before choosing what they will learn,they know that ASP is not free (which is not correct 100%)There are many bad comments about ASP so that is why many sites changed from ASP to PHP. But, there are many paid components for ASP which can make your website automatically and you should not worry.

I don't like that it doesn't support 3g calls without Wi-Fi... Normally , 3G connection is much more expensive but it should support it.The price is what Iphone makes it special. Actually, it isn't something special , everything is as it was,only the front camera and bigger screen are new.Anyway,news are proving that Apple are working. After the problems with Adobe i am a little dissapointed from them.

I like the logo but it looks more like a HTML creation , because it is very similar with the tab menu... Same colours and shapes The current logo is perfect , it only needs some Web 2.0 effect like glossy text or reflections (just an idea not a suggestion) :DHorizontally,on the end of our logo here,the gradient is not correct and doesn't feel good with the colour of the header... Honestly , the real logo is way more professional then yours Sovieth Rathe. I've got an idea,what if we make a new competition for new logo design of Xisto , but with your own photo-editing software. We can make an online application with simple tools like gradient,reflection,text tool,selection tool and the competition will be great. Anyway your logo fits with this layout and style but i think the branding is important and making this logo will fail.
