i don't think she was talking about driving. i agree with the words though to a certain extent

slowly but surely sometimes doesn't cut it. if you go to slow, you may find things passing you by. however, if you go to fast, you may miss some of the important things along the way. staying at a constant speed, afraid to move faster or slower at the right times is redundant, boring, and safe.
