Firefox, all three. Also:1. Microsoft made me download something to verify my copy of windows before I could download Internet Explorer, Firefox just lets you hit "Download" and you get it.2. Firefox is more customizable, since it has themes and addons and so on.3. Firefox is standards-compliant, IE is not and it's incredible annoying.4. There are a bunch of things I didn't think of or didn't say.

I'm going with firefox.
Though I am dissapointed with it's memory consumption and load times.

Problem with this is that Iexplorer is kind of preloaded in the memory whereas Firefox needs to be loaded from scratch, though OS like xp should eventually "learn" to prioritize.

Or so I was told. I agree that firing up firefox might take a bit, but after that, nothing to complain about. I usually take newgrounds.com as an example to people to show the potential of firefox over Iexplorer.
I usually first install the adblock plus extension along with the filterset. Throw in fasterfox and you got yourself a turbo'd up browser.

When you load up newgrounds in iexplorer 6 or 7, it'll be slow and when it's finally loaded, it's littered with ads.
As opposed to Firefox, which loads a lot faster and when it's done loading, it's free of annoyances.

It'll take a lot for me to convert to another browser. Simply because I support firefox for breaking through the boundaries here.

Pretty much the only reason is that the pages load faster. My old 366mhz ibook can load faster pages on firefox than my 800 mhz desktop computer using IE.I don't care about how it looks, but if you really wanted to make it look nice, you could just get skins for firefox. I have IE 7 on my other laptop, but I can't install it on my desktop computer because it says that windows is not genuine. It's dumb because it came preinstalled with my computer.. With firefox it takes me less than 2 minutes to install, and it's straight forward. I love the simplicity of firefox too.

I actually use both... however, I prefer the clean and less "bulky" look of IE7 as Firefox has retained the classic Windows application look. IE7 also loads quicker on my other laptop as it is part of Windows. However, nothing beats Firefox's recovery. It's horrible when Windows crashes, Firefox crashes, or the power goes out and you were looking at some good sites and not being able to quickly open them back up or having to search your history for the exact page you were on. I really LOVE that feature!! The nice thing too, is that Firefox has amazing plugins while IE doesn't.[N]F

The last time I got a BSoD from Windows was during the Vista Beta Program or when I was using Windows XP. So far no crashes, but I do agree that Firefox's recovery system is great.I got to love their extension system. I can't live without my Facebook Toolbar and my JogaTV companion B)xboxrulz

Why is microsoft always *****ed about lol ? They haven't made anything horrible or bad at all, except for the fact people don't like what they release. IE would be far better with a few simple things firefox has lol...thats just my opinion though.

That recovery feature is kick *bottom*, although I really wish you could have it automatically so if you accidentally close tabs or some such, it could recover the same way.

It's certainly saved me a lot of trouble though.

P.S. For anyone wanting to close FF temporarily and have that recovery option, just force it to close in the task manager and it should present you with that option when you run it next.

The customization abilities in FireFox make it a good choice for starters. But the fact that it is so much more secure than IE (7 or not) makes it much better!!I feel that it's navigation is far easier than IE7's! Although, once you're used to Vista IE works just fine.Anyways, Firefox is far better! Also, when designing my Web sites, I always have trouble getting things to work in IE7, let ALONE IE6/5, where as in Firefox it just...WORKS!I think that Firefox's CSS engines are better than IE's, but my Web Design teacher claims otherwise...any thoughts on this?Who knows!
