Free Opera Registration Code No piracy, just a celebration

Recommended Posts

Wow ! This is what software developers ought to do to get on the good side of their users. To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Opera, which some describe as being "the BEST browser in the world period." it's developers are holding a 24 hour party ;) .

For the duration of this party, they're giving away registration codes for various flavours of Opera for free !

Link here

Codes are available for the following platforms:

Windows
Linux Intel
Linux PowerPC
Linux Sparc
FreeBSD
Solaris
Mac

Unfortunately, the two real platforms that I was hoping for - Palm OS and Series60 aren't included. ;) Still, many congrats for stying on in the business and continuing to innovate -- Good Luck & Happy Birthday Team Opera !

Thank-you very much for this link sparx. I have tried opera on a few occasions and been annoyed with the ad bar too much to continue using it. This is a great thing that they are giving away free registration codes. Does anyone know how long these codes last? Do you have to register your copy of opera within the 24hours? I do want to take advantage of this, but I dont really wish to install opera on my computer today.

Ummm.... not too sure about that although I think the code give-away is for 24 hours. We all know that pirated codes were always available, but tghis way one gets the non-guilt way of ensuring that you've got the full uncluttered version !

Well...I guess they ran out of codes due to the overwhelming response since I haven't got mine even when I emailed them using three different mail accounts (GMail, Yahoo! Mail, MSN Hotmail) with subject heading and a short birthday message. Although Opera is still the fastest browser out there, I'll stick to Mozilla Firefox and Free Download Manager. ;)

Ohhhh crap. I'm two days late!! Well, thanks for sharing the web link - you truly are generous and want to help others!! As for me, I didn't get it.

No more free drinks!

However, I could put their button on my site/forum and I could get a free registration code. Hmm... not a bad idea but I prefer Mozilla Firefox. It's so much better than Opera!! I mean, I prefer Mozilla Firefox more because of the style... simple but complex? Haha

Noooooo too late ;)In any case I'm still using verison 7 because it's never caused me any problems. I still think Opera is truly one of the most underrated and complete browsers which is unrivalled in user-friendliness ;)

I got my free registration code there.! Its really nice. Well I previously used Firefox as he ads in opera end up looking Ugly on the browser.. I just hated those ads.. Also Opera must extend this type of promotion So that people get to try their hands on ad free version . It really will help in future. And thanks for sharing this great info with us friend.!
