rhodesian.dragon 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2005 I am in the same boat as you and from what I understand is that the new hot fixes will need the old files in order to work. Also the next time to use windows update it will see that the old files are not there and it will then redownload and reinstall them. But this is from what I think is the case I am not sure if this will happen or not but I am sure that the old files are needed for the new hot fixes. Though, once you reformat you will have to re-download service pack 2, and all of the patches.
