i have Gmail, i really hate the stuff, it's like signing up for a marvelous 1 gig account and than BAM the day after you are hit with spam all the way, seemed like someone at google is chipping after hours....therefore i went over to walla....same size no spamthat really did the trick for me

If you have an obscure enough username, no one will spam you. However, if your username is, say, 5 characters or less, you've got a problem on your hands.And spam isn't that bad on Gmail. Like any other mail client, they put it in a seperate folder to distinguish between normal email and spam. Plus, you only get about 5 or so spam messages a day, unlike Yahoo where you get approximately 80 to several hundred.

That's right! I am very impressed with this features of Gmail. They sort all spamming content emails to the trash and automatically delete them after 15 days. They know more what mails are spams b/c google has their content management (which is used for ads), and I think they can figure out what content is spamming more exactly than Yahoo or other Gig guys

No problem with spam here either. I allso love the new atom feed feature. It lets me see whats in my inbox before I go to the website.If anybody wants an invite PM me youre email adress I have a couple left over.

I just got Gmail and I must say that I love it. The spam thing is great (no spam in my Inbox and it's been about 2 weeks), but I have to say my favorite feature is the ability to search for any content in a certain email. If I need a piece of info all I have to do is enter it into the search box at the top of the page, and I get it in seconds.

i hate spam seems every email account i get...BAM bring on the spam.. anyways i think a gmail account would be rather nifty... don't really know what types of accounts are out there..of course i have the Hotmail..the yahoo etc...but Gmail seems to be the new trend

i actaully like . it is way better than hotmail or yahoo, i get to do things that you cant on a yahoo or hotmail account. also you get like 1 gb of space and i also have 5 invites left if u want a gmail account pm me and i would be glad to invite you to this wonderious web-based mail.
