I want to write a personal site for my friends in Perth and Perth people. Want to try in PHP. what are the benefits of PHP over HTML

with PHP you can add functions like a news poster, and polls, and other php functions....you just need to save it as a .php file instead of .html though.

Remember to put quote tags around anything you copy, even if it is from your own website.The design of your site is good, apart from that green menu on the left. It stands out, yes, but it doesn't fit with any of the other colours on the page. Most sites use a selection of shades of one colour. Just look at this forum, its all shades of blue. Try changing the menu to one of the other colours you have used on the page, or a darker shade of the background.Your Contact Us form looks a little unorganised, as nothing is lined up. I presume you have used central alignment in a table? It looks weird and would probably be better if you left aligned the whole lot. Other than that your site is fine.

Your site could be very useful to people looking for the informations you have provided and specially to those who wants to buy your product. However, as you have said you are using HTML only and this limits the site interactions with the users. If you use PHP it can become much more interactive. May be you could put forums like phpBB, IPB or others so that pre-sale questions and all could be asked in your site and when they are satisfied they could buy the products. This is very good for confidence building measures for new customers who don't need to ask many questions answered in the forum or help ticket board.And I suggest you increasing the font of the body content so that it become much more easier to read. In fact, I have tried to submit my blank order in the order page and php file was called. Though I didn't enter anything in those fields the order page was called in. Meaning there is no verification of whatever is entered. You could improved this with PHP as well. And background color could be changed to something else more visible thatn it is right now.
