Mailing List Script And Link Thingy.

Hi yar.I am looking for a couple of scripts.I would like a very simple mailing list script which i can intergrate into my current website. I need it in php and all i want is subscribe, unsubcribe and then a sending page so i can send an email using text only.I have looked in the cpanel but the only one there is very complicated, too complicated.Also I would like to create a link box within a picture. You will understand better if you visit my website (http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/). The pictures at the top have a random script on them, and so i need something which will select the home, about etc as a link.I have had a think and i think using flash is the best way of doing it. Can anyone else think of anything else?ThanksABDALLA

I think I may know how to make the link inside the image.

On the image you use make sure you add usemap="#WHATEVER" and then use <map name="WHATEVERYOUPUTINTHEIMAGE"> and then use <area> and change the coords to match where you want linked. I don't know the best way to do this besides trial and error. and then simply change the page it links so and the alts.

As has been said, an Image map would be best for the navigation. Flash can do it too, but it is much more complicated and unless you are going to have som flashy things there is no need for it. I think it could also be done in CSS and javascript, but I am not sure.
