Web Based Control Panel how do u build a web based control panel

Recommended Posts

i am not sure it will help you or not.

cPanel & WebHost Manager (WHM) is a next generation web hosting control panel system.

Token from http://cpanel.net/ you can go to that site for getting information.if you build by yourself i think it will be hard.

I have a discussion on ZPanel somewhere on this forum (I'll add the link later). ZPanel is not open source, and it isn't as good as cPanel or Plesk or any similar product. If I were to set up a machine for shared hosting I would pick InsPanel (http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/) for now (but if cPanel is ever out for Windows, I would definitely take it instead).
Edit: Here's the link to my topic on ZPanel: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/31384-can-i-install-zpanel-on-my-account-want-to-try-it/=

This sounds cool, but I really wonder if one can really rely on such free web based managers. These days most of the hosting sites are using Cpanel and Web Host Manager and these two are the best as far as my knowledge is concerned. There are too many things to do on the net and I really think it is a waste of time to build such. Unless we want to make business and become a rival to these already popular webhost managers.

here's some tips:if you have a CMS, you don't really need oneunless you are experienced in programing in many languages, you can't make onethere are good ones out there that are free...I assume you use linux on your server since you mentioned Cpanel. Webmin is a good one, cube panel is another, there are also VNC programs that let you do that. There are a lot of things you can do.It may be cool, but you can't use it on this host. you need to have a computer, and some kind of web site program running. You also need a static IP address from your ISP. So really, I would just suggest getting paid hosting, it's really pricey.
