manuleka 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2012 so i thought i would work on this tonight and transform my Windows 7 into a metro looking Windows 8 RTM I hate to admit but it kinda looks appealing to me, nice, neat and simple - especially with the task-bar being available http://www.askvg.com/transform-windows-7-into-windows-8-vnext-without-using-customization-pack/
manuleka 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2012 (edited) Here are the results guys: 1. Windows 8 theme (without Metro Tiles - don't like them) 2. I opted to stick to my colorful task bar Windows 7 icons 3. Login/Lock Screen - I opted not to change the background and color and the Windows 7 text 4. Added Object Dock from Stardock - best Dock tool in my experience 5. Also added WindowFX from Stardock - they've got some pretty cool animations which makes my Windows 7 Desktop feel like Linux Compiz Loving the simple look and feel Dual screen Desktop at low - 1280x1024: With Object Dock - Mouse Hover Zoom Animation Login/Lock Screen: Edited December 6, 2012 by manuleka (see edit history)

manuleka 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2012 And I see that it's not the same picture on the logon screen. yea just the standard Windows 7 User Account Picture... I quite like the Windows 8 theme to be honest... feels real simple and cleanthe tile/mosaic layout is still a bit too much for me
