manuleka 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2012 Unable to start the settings manager 'mate-settings-daemon'.Without the MATE settings manager running, some preferences may not take effect. This could indicate a problem with DBus, or a non-MATE (e.g. KDE) settings manager may already be active and conflicting with the MATE settings manager. so i've been getting these results lately when right clicking on desktop to change background or trying to alter themes or customizing mateanyone experience this before

manuleka 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2012 Found the problem... it's my video card took it out and ran Mint of onboard intel graphics and it runs perfectly fine...it's most probably a driver issue... hopefully a new driver (Catalyst) will be out soon so i can test it on my card
