manuleka 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2012 I'm trying to figure out how to make my disk drives or partitions automatically mounted when i start up Linux MintcheersPlatform: LinuxMint 13 Cinnamon
yordan 10 Report post Posted August 3, 2012 Loot at the syntax of /etc/fstabYou simply have to add an entry for each filesystem you want to have automatically mounted. For instance, have a look at how /usr is stated in fstab.Of course, this is the standard way for any Unix system. There is probably a gui for helping you in Linux Mint, but you should also learn how fstab works.also "cat /etc/mtab" should help.
manuleka 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2012 thanks yordan, i was looking in to that... but then i stumbled upon ntfs-config Gui tool... quite simple and works... fstabs requires a few more steps of finding partitions/ids etc hehe... i did use to play around with fstab and the bootlist (or menulist can't remember correctly) file before like few years back when my netbook was running LinuxMint/Fedora
