manuleka 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2012 Windows XP Professional (32bit) I've swapped my E8400/2x2GB DDR2 with a Sandy Bridge G620 (2.6GHz)/ASUS P8H61-M LX and a single module 4GB DDR3 RAMWhen i was using my E8400 (with two 2GB DDR2 modules), XP reports a 3.2GB or RAM... but now with Sandy Bridge, i get only 2.99GBdoes this extra 0.2GB seen on my previous machine has anything to do with dual channel? yordan 10 Report post Posted May 24, 2012 I would rather guess that it's the private memory assigned to your graphic adapter, taken out the PC physical main memory, and flagged by Windows as non-reachable because reserved for private usage.
