manuleka 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2011 (edited) I have a Netbook... which had Windows 7 and i flashed it with Windows XP and Linux... now comes a time where i want Windows 7 back on it... would acquiring another copy/media to install on the netbook but still using original Serial underneath it for fresh installation of Windows 7 be legal? The Netbook had a factory restore partition which had Win 7 but deleted it prior to Win/Linux dual installations Edited November 14, 2011 by manuleka (see edit history)
yordan 10 Report post Posted November 14, 2011 Of course you can try to use your own "old" serial. If it works, you still can say that you mistyped. However, you are supposed to enter the serial printed on the genuine DVD you bought from Microsoft.

iswa 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2011 (edited) http://forums.xisto.com/topic/98305-topic/?findpost=1064414650Check out this list, choose your version, download it, use the iso-file to burn a dvd, install Windows 7 and fill in your product key.Make sure to choose the OEM version. It is probably legal to use a version, that is down loaded from the internet, with the product key, because the purchase of Windows 7 is paid in the price of the Netbook.
