manuleka 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2011 I got a Video Card with a broken capacitor connection (solder bit), there two connections but one is broken so i'm seeking advice on fixing this... do i need a proper solder kit or a heated needle would be enough to melt the solder bit for reconnection? yordan 10 Report post Posted October 27, 2011 You need to heat simultaneously the metal part as well as the solder drop and a little bit of extra solding material. This will be easier with a real solder kit. You must simultaneously heat the three parts until you see a small ball popping around the place when you want it be solded.
