manuleka 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2011 i'm going to install LinuxMint LXDE alongside Windows 7... i'm going to need to partition the single 250GB drive into a few sections, so i'm curious what you guys recommend...i know i can partition using LinuxMints' partitioning tool upon installation but i'm just abit skeptical about it and would prefer partitioning on Windows 7 itself before installing Linux
yordan 10 Report post Posted September 19, 2011 You can use gparted, it works fine. First use it in order to shrink the windows7 partition, then create the linux partitions or let the linux installer create the linux partions on the empty part of the disk.gparted boots off a CD, or it has it's own script for creation a bootable USB flashdrive.
