Problem Editing My Posts Is there a special setting for using the edit pane?

Recommended Posts

Ok, I'm new here and I tried to search if this has been discussed before, but did not get any meaningful results, due to the ubiquity of the search terms.

What I have a problem with is highlighting text and then replacing it.

Particularly when responding to a post, it seems impossible to edit the quoted text. I can high light the text, but it will not be replaced. text is typically added, before the quoted text.

I first thought it might have something to do with Firefox, because that's what I use on my Windows machine, but now I'm using mcrob on Maemo and it responds the same.

Another anomality is that it quotes the text of a post even when I press Reply in stead of Quote. I only seem to be able to use the Fast post option, to add my posts...

Anyone else has experienced this behaviour?

Rgds, Chris.

Hmm, Now in microb, I seem to be able to edit the quoted text.

I still have issue with the Quote and Reply buttons.

The Quote button does nothing.

And the Reply button quotes the text!

Is this a bug in the forum software?

These buttons are used in order to properly quote the text in a "reply" box.

While writing your reply, you can use the mouse in order to highligt a part of the text. if you click the "wrap in quote tags" button (near the smiley) your text will be wrapped betwenn quote tags.
