Windows XP sp2 machine thinks that the iPod is a cameraWindows Not Recognizing Ipod

I'm having the same problem. This Windows XP sp2 machine thinks that the iPod is a camera.

I have tried everything on the apple site including hackingthe registry by hand- which crashed the system. However the silly thingsilly thing is that iTunes won't accept the 'windows camera' iPod as aniPod. The iPod works fine on my rarely used Xp machine but theplaylists are not compatable.

I might try transferring 2gig of backup music and videos tomy xp box (used for itunes only as no linux port of iTunes is available) if I have a couple of hours to spare
