I did not receive any Disk, Warranty Information,Instruction Manual. I am now in the process of learning about thisproduct. (Very Interesting) No, I'm not crazy. I did not care for the Acer experience and the Lap Top seemed Networked without my knowledge. Anyway; My question currently: Did the Dell Inspiron 910 ship with a "Recovery Disk" ? I was told it shipped with an Operating System Windows XP Installation Disk, A Resource Disk (Drivers & Utilities) and a Free Microsoft Works 9.0 Disk. I received None. TheDell Inspiron 910 is an Nbuntu-On-Factory-Installed- System. Nbuntuprovides a Linux based operating system and Recovery-back- to-Factoryfirst time use Disk. Once again, does the Dell Inspiron 910 (Mini 9)ship with a Recovery Disk to restore the Mini 9 back tofactory-first-time-use? I treat it with care, since I might get to keep it if they can't fix my laptop. I've come across porn and hentai sites by accident and my perverted friend keeps going to them, so I'm concerned about how my parents would react if the company told them or something like that. I need a easy, free way to wipe out my hard drive! I decided to reformat it using eRecovery, but first I retrieved the important data inside usingPuppy Linux. Later, when I restarted the laptop I couldn't openERecovery by pressing Alt+F10. I tried opening the laptop using PuppyLinux again and I saw the disk partitions were no longer there exceptFor CD drive only. Now I'm panic. What happened actually? What should IDo? Can I reformat the hard drice on a different brand PC reload Windows and then re install in the Dell? Couldn't bring up the answer with google so I'm asking you.
