ethergeek 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2007 The OsX86 project is what I think you're referring to. I had OSX running tri-boot with Linux and Windows on my Dell Inspiron 5150 for awhile, but eventually got rig of it; finding OSX to be useless in the face of Linux. jimmy89 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2007 I have managed to install Mac OSX 10.4.3 (I think) on my desktop. It was ok, but there was plenty of things that didn't work (usb, internet, sound) this list goes on!!And I eventually did the same as ethergeek, just got rid of it! It just wasn't worth it! The only time that it would be useful is if there was possibly no way that you could get your hands on a proper mac and needed to run mac software! Also, its illegal!-jimmy
WeaponX 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2007 Although there are many hacks out there to get the Mac OS to work on the PC, I don't recommend it. Not only will you most likely have hardware not being recognized, it will probably be sluggish when you run it on your computer.
xboxrulz1405241485 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2007 That's true. The MacOS X wasn't designed for other hardware and Apple makes sure it won't. I tried it, but since my computer doesn't have SSE3, I gave up because it was too slow. However, we are bound by forum rules to not discuss this. Therefore, topic locked.xboxrulz
