demolaynyc 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2007 Yep, I just recently found this amazing site. It lets you watch free streaming videos FULL!!! Visitors can watch most anime here and they're updated frequently. Also, there are cartoons and shows that are on TV that you might've missed. They also have old shows which are already cancelled and has all seasons. What is more is that you can watch movies there even the ones that have just been released. I haven't checked out the sports section but there is one. You should go and check it out. It's at: http://www.tv-links.co.uk/
kgd2006 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2007 Ive just recently discovered this place too, I was watching a lot of old series shows that I have not seen before. This place is a very good source but if its going to get a lot of popularity im afraid copyright laws will bring it down. I hope that everyone that knows about this site just keep it in secret. Because so far this place is my place to go to watch new episodes and missed episodes of current shows. This and youtube, but youtube has been on the attack of copyright laws and it has been giving me a hard time for me to find my shows that I missed. The reason that I use these stream web sources is because I work late shifts and basically miss all the good night shows. So these web streaming sources is the place I go to catch up on what I missed. Hopefully, this place will stay alive for years to come.
Moon Child 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2007 Wow, that'll give a whole new meaning to the words "couch potato". I have a friend who is a huge fan of vintage shows from the 60s and 70s, so I'm sure to give her the link. I really don't hope the government doesn't come hard on them like they have with YouTube and all, but then again, it's expected if you're showing hundreds of TV shows and movies. WeaponX 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 Site has good content for the most part. Some seasons or episodes may be missing though. Definitely better than YouTube in terms of shows available now. It will only be a matter of time before someone takes action on them also.....even though they are in UK.Checked out the Sports section and didn't find much. Was looking under Basketball... xerxes1405241546 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 (edited) I've heard about them before, but never checked them out myself... And now I see they even have Hackers! I'll be needing a lot of free time then. Â But seriously, I wonder how come they are not afraid of lawsuits, I mean even torrent trackers were shut down while only providing "links" to content not provided on their own servers. Here you have direct access to clearly illegal stuff. I'll be watching them closely just to see how the bullies will try to tackle them. Â EDIT: Now, that I think of it, they can't even take the stance similar to that of a search engine (where the content is found "accidentally"). Their site was built specifically for providing access to copyrighted material, and only administrators can post the links (unlike torrent browsers, where links are submitted by users). This case is really curious. Edited May 23, 2007 by xerxes (see edit history)
Jeigh1405241495 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 They don't host anything, it's like the P2P sites, they just let users submit links to those media sharing sites. And those sites basically leave the content up until they get requested to take it down. It's all a big game of cat and mouse where everyone claims to be innocent and ignorant and hopes that if someone gets taken down for the "crime" it wont be them. Unregistered 0111405241546 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2007 Thanks for the link! I used to use alluc.net for my TV shows when I miss them, but they don't really update that much anymore for the shows I watch.
xerxes1405241546 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2007 Actually, the copyright holders could give a permission for one/first episode (or the first 30mins of a movie) to be available on-line so people would buy those more often. The quality of the episodes on-line is far from HD or what DVD offers, and such sites would encourage people to buy stuff they can't see on TV, otherwise who would buy a TV series on DVD or in HD without even knowing if they like the series; if they see it on TV, not much sense in buying it either. In fact, that may the reason why the sites haven't been taken down already.
Arbitrary 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2007 Woah, now that's pretty cool. I'll have to bookmark it and check it out later (when I have more time) Wow, that'll give a whole new meaning to the words "couch potato". (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I have a friend who is a huge fan of vintage shows from the 60s and 70s, so I'm sure to give her the link. I really don't hope the government doesn't come hard on them like they have with YouTube and all, but then again, it's expected if you're showing hundreds of TV shows and movies.Mmmm...the government will eventually find the site and crack down on it. But as long as it's not particularly famous (like at first), the government probably won't do anything. And if the owners aren't rich, there's no reason to file lawsuits. So problems might begin when the site gets bought by a larger company, (like the whole Google and Youtube incident), the government will also saunter along and attempt to get rid of copyrighted materials. But until then, I guess we can all just enjoy.
trinifawk 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 (edited) Wow! I'm watching it right now! This is awesome!Does anyone know if this site is legit? I mean, I'm watching Pirates of the Caribbean 3 right now... Well, my friends and I had a discussion about what sort of trouble I could get in for viewing material that isn't meant to be seen for free (how else would the movie industry make money?), and I don't think that users of the website would get in any trouble. So yay! Edited June 19, 2007 by trinifawk (see edit history)
Patrick/:Hustle 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2007 That site is pretty popular, but tv-links.co.uk is not hosting the files, so the government can't do anything about it really, cause they're just linking to the files.I like Tv-Links cause i don't have to download it then : D though there are some flaws. lot of their links are dead. but those which work are great, and so are the divx movies from stage6. Chesso 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2007 It would be nice to have a site like that, something very organized that actually hosts the content, like seasons and episodes/movies of things that are far by there use by date (difficult to find elsewhere generally), so everyone can still enjoy them.Even if it was maybe one of those pay by monthly kind of site, as long as they had a decent trial option or give you a truly good look at what they offer.I'd like it, that's for sure.
