Some people's problem is not related to system partition and they want to merge partitions to make a larger one. No matter which reasons, if you want to merge partitions, you will achieve by using Partition Assistant. Apparently the developers have decided only businesses run x64 so x64 compatiblity is not offered on their free version.Wether it's a naive oversight or a marketing ploy, anyone using x64 needs to look elsewhere.
