"Mouse In A Box" + Debian = Argh! Does anyone use Keningston Mice with Debian? How?

Recommended Posts

One christmas, I recieved a spare parts desktop. I joyously installed RedHat and Windows XP, only to find that XP had corrupted the HD! I tried again, this time with only Debian. I was working fine, untill I got to installing X11. The mouse refused to work! I kept getting:USB device not exepting port 1New USB device on port 2USB device not exepting port 2and on and on and on.Anyone got any ideas?

what does the xorg.conf file say about the mouse ? Have you tried running xorgconfig again ? What might help is choosing IMPS/2 (Microsoft PS/2 mouse if I remember correctly) as protocol instead of USB.
