gapaq 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 Hi everyone!I've got a real problem with a Lindy 2-port firewire controller. Once I've put it into the slot, I start up the pc and windows begin to install as a new hardware. But, it ask me for the drivers. On the instruction, they said that are not required. What I have to do?Help!!
yordan 10 Report post Posted October 16, 2006 Depends from the operating system. Some versions include some controllers drivers, and some others need to install the drivers.Which Operating System are you using ? windows XP ? windows98 ?RegardsYordan

wutske 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2006 Let windows automaticly seach for drivers, if it doesn't find one, you should check the lindy site (if the card didn't come with a cd, that one would probably contain the drivers). The download location is; http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ (it's slow btw)and I guess you'll need: Drivers for the FireWire PCI Card , of it isn't that, you could try the drivers for the 3-port fireware card (just search for fireware and press F3 a few time, it'll show up ). yordan 10 Report post Posted October 16, 2006 (edited) What about trying here : http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ There is a "kontakt" link, there should be possible to contact them and ask them for the drivers.Or probably download directly here : http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/-----------ouch ! wutske was faster today, and directly gave the international download link, mine is german ! WeaponX 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2006 Searched on the site that yordan gave above. So you even tried this one and it still won't work? Try using another PCI slot for that Firewire controller card and see if the outcome is the same.
