Announcement: Importance Of Regular Site Backups !

Recommended Posts

Will you set up the server-side back ups again in near future? It kind of was part of the Xisto professionality and security feeling =)I noticed that I can't unzip the tar.gz file I downloaded on Mac OS X. Someone having similar problems?Greetings,Ruben

Hey, I've got a problem! My campus server doesn't allow me to connect to port 2083 anymore. Does anyone know of a method to bypass this thing or any other way to backup data? I've tried tunneling using your-freedom but it isn't working.

Hehe .. try >>THIS<< or >>THIS<< only difference between the 2 is the "s" .. http:// and https:// ... hope this helps. Its a anoy proxy browser .. err .. i mostly use it cause USEFUL sites are blocked in my country :( ..

Regards

Dhanesh.

Once you've downloaded the complete backup file, how would you restore your site from it?Do you just upload it using the "Restore a Home Backup" tool on the homepage, and does that restore all your databases and everything completely, or will you have do do anything else?
