iGuest 3 Report post Posted February 17, 2011 Good experience with bothNOD32 vs. Kaspersky: Which Is Better?I have tried both, and don't think there are big differences. They are both among the very best. However; for the last 2-3 years I have used ESET Smart Security. InAddition I scan with free Trojan scanners now and then (seldom) just toCheck. Before that I used Kaspersky with a third part firewall. ESET Smart Security is small, unobtrusive and comes with aConfigurable firewall (using Interactive filtering mode). Recommended! When I install Windows, I also makes images of the harddisk (usingAcronis.) I'm often trying new software (freeware/open source), so it'sNice to have some guaranteed clean Windows backups. If the PC gets buggy or I feel uncertain after visiting bad (porn) sites, I have several disk images to choose from,From Windows scratch to recent. A fresh Windows installation with allFavorite programs installed takes 5 minutes. Very handy. Having cleanBackups grately reduce the need for AV. (I never save documents on the system drive.) Recommended! In addition I always use the WOT (Web Of Trust) extension in Firefox. Recommended! I used XP x86 until a year ago. Since then I've used Windows 7 x64. For the last 5 years my PC's have not been infected with virus/trojans. Take care:) -reply by NorwayMan

iGuest 3 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 ESET NOD 32 V. Kaspersky NOD32 vs. Kaspersky: Which Is Better? I have ESET NOD 32 and my school has Kaspersky. I personally like NOD 32 better because you don';t have to restart the system to install the updates. As far as protection goes, its about the same. They both work great in that sense. -reply by Tasha
iGuest 3 Report post Posted March 18, 2011 Kaspersky or Eset NOD32?NOD32 vs. Kaspersky: Which Is Better? Both AV's are the best choice. I have a lot of clients that use NOD32 and others use KAV. Because NOD32 runs smoothly on older pc's and KAV is cheaper and have a great support. The diferences by my point of view.: NOD32.: - runs smoothly on old/low computers, faster and easy to use, simple user interface and faster updates KAV.: -massive anti-virus atack , best heuristic system, lower price... But fake alarms sometimes... anyway its good! better fake alarms than allow bad stuff infect the computer. Now you decide. Download them and check by yourself. Good luck!-reply by Kancerion
iGuest 3 Report post Posted March 19, 2011 kasper sky or nod 32?NOD32 vs. Kaspersky: Which Is Better?People wh ouse kaspersky just say that its fast and good... First Use Nod 32 and tell which one is faster.. Nod 32 is a good antivirus EVEN IF ITS OUT OF UPDATES!! You know what? Nod 32 uses clever technology in threat sense, which allows it to recognize unknown virus. If u use kaspersky, please switch to nod 32 and you just check the speed. Another thing is that whenever kaspersky gets a virus, it makes a noise and disturbes when u are in middle of the game, and usually pops up a window.. Nod 32 never does that... -reply by Anas
iGuest 3 Report post Posted May 16, 2011 I use nod32 with crack (disclaimer: piracy is illegal, DON'T do what I do) ;DBut anyway, NOD32 is really very good. It is light and very fast.My hat's off to it's effectiveness and efficiency. You don't know half of where the hell holes I've gone through the internets and my computer is still in one piece. If any of you visit one of the minor sites I've been through your computer is definitely gonna get efffed for good..No hope!I got like 1TB of P... And 500GB of movies and mp3s with LimeWire and torrents...You name it, I've been there! Crazy ****. My computer is a ho!I often recommended it to most pips I get with. And I did notice after checking back with them that they never hadVirus problems with these two. Cause when you find something that's goodYou'd want to share it. "hey, this is good. You have to try this.."Next to it is Kaspersky, although it's not as light as nod32 its bulk does make up for it with it's power. Most genius scientists comes from Russia so it figures. They do have a reputation for that.If you have a slow to average to normal computer, go with NOD32 by Eset.If you have a super fast or high end computer, go with Kaspersky.Anyway, I'm not getting paid for this.Again, (disclaimer: piracy is illegal, DON'T do what I do) peace out!No ****. Just listen to me cause I know what I'm talking about.
iGuest 3 Report post Posted July 28, 2011 you all are messed upNOD32 vs. Kaspersky: Which Is Better?Dear All,Kaspersky detects cluster viruses and polymorphic virus detection rate is highest as compared to others and the good effect of it is that minimum impact on processor ,I swift , I checker technology.Russians are best in both ..Making viruses and then making Anti viruses. -reply by ahmed
iGuest 3 Report post Posted August 6, 2011 What if you have group user from wc3 who is a developer in your computer?NOD32 vs. Kaspersky: Which Is Better?I have lost three computers. MSN has identifed who it is, and NOW MY WHOLE SYSTEM IS CORRUPT. Only took my ip provider six years, to admit this, plus they heard the click on the phone also, that the hacker listens to my calls. So I had system mechanic 10 and Iolo, and many others Norton, Webroot, which the hacker who I met on line told me to use. How convenient. After I paid $180.00 for at&t service man to do the same old thing, wipe the computer clean, and tell me to put system mechanic and iolo, I did it, and the remote user then put me in the safe mode.Who should I report this to that will do something about it? -reply by karen jacobsen
iGuest 3 Report post Posted August 12, 2011 I used NOD32,ESET Smart Security,Norton AV/IS,Kaspersky AV/IS,Avira Free/Premium IS,Comodo IS,and much more. I don't think,I know that Kaspersky is better than NOD32,Kaspersky has 99.50% of detection, and NOD32 has 90% of detection. Maybe NOD32 is faster, but it's **** in other ways. I would rather have AVG 1.0 thank NOD32! -reply by Kralj
iGuest 3 Report post Posted September 3, 2011 I think eset smart security is the perfect solution but I will never forget the times which I had more than 50 different viruses, I couldn't start windows normally, I was booting in safe mode run a full scan with avast and cleaning my pc... -reply by John
iGuest 3 Report post Posted November 11, 2011 Unbelievable bad AVNOD32 vs. Kaspersky: Which Is Better?Replying to SolimanUntil I had NOD, I never saw an AV software that detect virus, notify user and allow the very same virus to infiltrate into the system. Thank ESET for great expirience. So NOD is protecting us from what? -reply by Melkor
