Where Can I Find Free Icons On Web?

Recommended Posts

One of the members at Xisto keeps this link in his signature:

http://free-icons.awardspace.com/

Wait a sec... something wrong with the site.. Wouldn't load at all for me :P

Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at free-icons.awardspace.com.

* Check the address for typing errors such as

ww.example.com instead of

http://www.example.com/

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network

connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure

that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

That's because you are using Firefox. Use Maxthon instead. It works just like IE but without the security holes and spamability. It sports a very nice tabbed interface for the web pages and above all, IT'S FREE!!!!

http://www.maxthon.com/

Check it out and you will see what I mean. I guarantee you will like it!

Come-on man, I tried it on Maxthon, and it does'nt seem to load even with it, I tried IE too, no change in either. The site must have been deleted from the server or the hosting server must be down all the time. Thank god I chose Xisto. Its my favorite.

:P Thanks for replying on my behalf. That whole issue about using Maxthon was utter bull$****. If it loads with one browser - it HAS TO to any and every browser.. unless it's a pro-Microsoft site, that checks for the browser and limits the site to be loaded only by browsers based on the IE engine.

CFP_Ratach_: you got your reply ;) any further comments ???

That website is working fine, you just can't visit a subdomain (usually) with http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/, you can only use http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/.

So in that website, you need to insert this way in order to be able to connect to the website:

http://free-icons.awardspace.com/
(don't insert the www)

Thanks jlhaslip, for sort of promoting my website, and people, firefox is a good browser, but not that good, and if we want to improve it by adding plug-in's, it takes too much memory (RAM) of my PC, but that does not happen with Maxthon, i use it, and all websites load perfectly fine, but with firefox, tons of websites don't load and others just load half, so i'll keep using Maxthon browser, and if i live it, i prefer to use Opera then firefox, no doubt about it.
