marretas 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 Yeah thats right, now you can test your brain online. An american company has been in this couple weeks promoting his new software trought a online test that avaluates the human brain processing speed, based in hearing speed. if you have around 20 years old your processing speed is 0.068 seconds. The speed up to 0.087s when you have 40 and to 0.106 when you have 60 years old. Try it . Brain Test(Link fixed)
Sarah81 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2006 This link works - or did just a few minutes ago when I took this test.58 ms ... not too terribly bad for a 24-year-old. Heh. At the end they try to sell you a brain-speed improvement program, but it's not aggressive or anything. You don't have to give your name or e-mail address or anything like that. Pretty sweet test. Just make sure your sound is enabled.
twitch 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2006 I fixed the link, so people who find posts missing, I deleted them.If you don't have shockwave player installed, then you need to get it done. However, when you install it, the I agree is bundled with the Yahoo toolbar installer. There is a very easy way to get around this. Don't tick the box.I know this would usually quit the thing and make you install it later. But, in this case the installer thing will disappear, but it will continue installing. Then, in a couple of minutes or so, it will pop-up asking you for details and then it will finish.Mine was embarrassing...for the first time.
pyost 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2006 51 ms, and I am 15 years old. Don't know if that's good or bod, but I must say that the test is really good! I haven't payed attention to the brain-speed improvement program, but I think it's stupid. If you can get to the test and use the advance Internet options, your brain speed is probably good enough. It probably can't even be noticed if someone has 50 ms and the other person 88 ms, that really isn't much.

lonebyrd 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2006 68ms for me. Now I'm not that good with graphs, but I don't think I did so great. I know as it went along I kept messing it up. All the tones started to sound the same to me. It was fun anyway.

illini319 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2006 I got 28msec. I guess that's fast, but it's not clear to me what this means in the real world? I've read their little blurb, but really... does this mean I can understand people talking better than someone with a higher (slower) score? I dont think so... I often have to ask people to repeat what they say because I couldn't fully understand what they said. This is not a language issue, nor a deafness issue. So... what does this test really measure then?
ikram 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2006 why am i getting the install option at the start of the page..?
szupie 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 I got a 30! That's the second highest in this topic. :Pillini319, the faster your brain processing speed, the easier it is for you to distinguish sounds. It is easier to hear a long word slowly (e.g. comfortable), than it is to hear it fast (e.g. cmftble). However, if you don't know the language well (I'm not saying you don't), you'll still have trouble telling what people are saying. If you can't see the Test, you'll need to install shockwave player, as twitch has said. ikram, from your description, I'm guessing that you're using Firefox. Just click the button it shows you, and it should find shockwave and install it for you.
mediafork 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2006 Cool test, nice find. I scored 45 ms and am 17 which is pretty good, or so I thought so. It's an odd test and it took me a while to get into it... I'm still not exactly sure what these scores translate to in terms of real life abilities but i'm sure whatever it is, 45 is a good score for that!
