For The Kind Attention Of Admin...

Recommended Posts

hai

i registered in both Xisto and Xisto forums with the same user name and email.

but this forum was more to my liking and so i was active only here on Xisto and i had accumulated 60+ credits while i neglected Xisto and my credits in Xisto stand in negetive.

i have now applied for free hosting from here as i have 60+ credits...but i see you direct applications from both forums to the same page , namely https://support.xisto.com/ .

im afraid my application will get rejected, if my poor credits in Xisto are mistakenly considered instead of my credis here!

would like to bring it to the attention of people concerned..please look into this. many thanks!

regards,

shiv

Shiv, if you navigate the site and look around. You'll see a few minute text differences in both URLS:https://support.xisto.com/, by the fact that if you go to "Create a new hosting account" in each address, you'll find the logo changed to represent its correct how do i call it... Xisto subcorp. Be it Xisto or Xisto. Though you might be tricked into thinking both URLS redirect to the same page due to the logo that says "Welcome to Xisto Hosting Account Center" all the time, it really is different so i don't think your account details in Xisto will bother with your Xisto details. Though I would recommend that you terminate your account in Xisto formally to prevent the unecessary usage of Xisto's resources.

hai techocian..may be u didnt notice...go to the main login page of Xisto and u will see that they ask u to go to https://support.xisto.com/ to apply. a url such as ww.astahost.com/process is not given anywhere!

is it that they changed it now because Xisto was overflowing so they are directing all of us to Xisto?

That was probably what pyost was trying to say i guess and i probably didn't get it at first. To tell you the truth, through my past few years with Xisto, (ok maybe just a year) I've never seen an update or change in Xisto's main homepage of any sort at all. I wonder if it's just because Opaque thought it wasn't needed or whatsoever. This gives probably valid enough reason to say that Xisto used to use Xisto's servers before the massive shift (The small period of time when all the servers went crazy and everyone started complaining :o ), because well, you see Xisto has always had alot more popularity amongst the common public because you don't need to have studied all this or known all that and contributing to the forum in a professional sense much unlike Xisto. Thus, the administrator before Opaque (Alas, i forgot his name), thought it unneeded to set up another server for Xisto. But now things have changed fairly much compared to last. Have you tried what i mentioned of https://support.xisto.com/ and https://support.xisto.com/ linking to different websites not to one same website? It is 2 different websites and servers and I'm pretty confident of that. In any case, just request hosting here in the forums and I'm sure Opaque and/or the other administrators will take care of everything here for you.P.S. Mods out there, if what I'm saying isn't true, please correct me. I'm just suggesting that this happened because of some mere evidences.

thanks for ur reply.

but in the Xisto form home page, we are being told to goto https://support.xisto.com/; that is what is given there! not https://support.xisto.com/;

to quote what is gievn there..

Welcome to Xisto,Ignore the above Hosting Credit System if you are not interested in the Free Web Hosting service offered by our site. If you want to apply for our Premium Free Web Hosting Account, you will require atleast,

Package 1 ( 20mb w/ 500mb BW): 10 Credits
Package 2 (150mb w/ 5000mb BW) : 30 Credits
Hosting credits are collected by posting at the forums. The hosting credits are given after your posts are filtered and depending on its size, you get proportional hosting credits. Once you get the required credits you can post an application for hosting. One of our admins will then approve your application after which you can register an account at https://support.xisto.com/ Do not try to spam and collect Hosting credits. Any methods of spamming will not be tolerated. Your Account will be banned if you are caught spamming. After you get hosting, you will have to maintain your hosting credits by staying active. Remember the amount of posts has no effect on Hosting Credits. We look for Quality rather than Quantity.

is this a recent change?

if so how do you handle the above case?

what if two different people in the forums have the same user names in a forum each?

When you apply for hosting and get approved, you'll get an email where you are asked to go to https://support.xisto.com/ to complete the hosting activation.

Aside from that, I would like to ask you -shiv- something. Try to use caps, punctuation and less line breaks. It will make your posts more easy to read for the rest of us. Basic grammar and spelling is nice
