Synn 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2006 I recently installed Suse 10.0 on my Laptop, an ibm thinkpad 600x and I ran into a problem with the Wireless card. I'm pretty new to linux but I know a few things and i needed some help. It is a Belkin 806.11b wireless card i believe and its usb. For some reason linux does not find it and I don't know how to install the drivers for it. If anyone could help I would really aprreciate it. If you need any more information just tell me and I'll do my best to get it for you. If anything else could you tell me what kind of wireless card can i buy at the store that isn't to expensive and is supported by linux right out of the box. Thank you. yordan 10 Report post Posted March 10, 2006 first look here :http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I started there, and finally I was successful with Mandrake. So, you should also be successful with Suze.RegardsYordan
nightfox1405241487 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2006 Hmm... I've never used SuSE 10.... then again, I've never used SuSE (or any Linux) on a laptop that used wireless! A good place to search for Linux things is https://www.google.com/linux. I use it at home and school with Linux problems and whenever I need to find something. Of course, it isn't always the best as it just narrows a regular google seach down to "Linux only" items, but good luck! [N]F
