xJedix 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2005 Wow, thats awsome. I never knew what the specs of the stuff they were going to put into ps3. This could be a very good move on sony's part. It could potentially make them very rich.... though they already are.Question, has anyone heard about a copyright infrigment on the ps2? My friends were talking about it. They said that they had to give a guy a ***t load of money and could not sell anymore ps2. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about this.

madcrow 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2005 The only problem with this is that aparently, Sony will be actually loosing money on each Ps3 they sell and will only make it back by the feesand royalties from games. If lots of people just buy ps3 to run linux, then sony might end up losing lots of money on it...

iGuest 3 Report post Posted July 2, 2005 why not ? it has all the componnets of a computer, plus a fully functional operating system. Does that not make it a personal computer ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> K.K, or some high person from Sony said that they don't expect the Ps3 to compete with the gaming world, but to compete in other things too. I forgot the actual words, but it went something like that. So yeah, if you want to use it like a computer, that's a likely possibility.
