Trekkie101 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2005 Why not just upload it to your space or use a file dump service and link from your site. Although remember if its copywright its a big no-no for giving out the link
rapco 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2005 Well... is it YOUR MUSIC?????, i mean, you can't distribute a music files that's not yours... LAWAYS REMBER THAT!!!!... but, if you know the artist you can get a written permission to do it! But!!!... if the music is yours, you can open an account in http://download.cnet.com/windows/ an upload 50 mb of your music (50 per artist) and use the download link...It's a very good system!!!!PS: Why waste Xisto BW unnecesarely????????? musichere 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2005 The way I have found to be most coveninet for small webisites to share mp3s and large files like that, is to use this website called https://www.hightail.com/, which lets you upload a file onto their servers for 7 days and 35 downloads, whichever comes first. kap43 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 Yeah, the person who posted this entry does have a legit concern. I too am here to see if I will be able to host a few music files for use to be played on my Myspace page. Luckily, I have found a free host that will take care of my pictures. But so far, I can't find a free host that will allow me to actually keep music files of MY choice handy for use on my Myspace page. I would only need to keep 2 music files at a time if that, so I'm really not abusing anything. A free host would simply allow me to use whatever music file of my choice rather than have to choose from a selection of music videos provided by someone who thinks that they have chosen the ideal selection of music. I'm not knocking those guys, but there are many songs from artists that will never be available as music videos. Also, many artist are just simply not available due to lack of space on the sites.Asta Host has been recommended in the Myspace forums as a very reliable free web host. I'm just here to see if it really works. It would be a great help in personalizing my web page! In the event that it doesn't work, then at least it's been nice chatting with you all -KAP
miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 Just a footnote: Â You are ALLOWED to host mp3's at this site, AS LONG AS THEY BELONG TO YOU AND ARE CREATED BY YOU. Which in short means, as long as you've the rights over than mp3/it's an authentic piece of work created by you and it's not a copy of some commercial track, you are free to host it here and put up a link on myspace. Â But keep in mind, everytime someone downloads that track from myspace, the download count gets deducted from your monthly bandwidth count here at Asta. Â As for the rest, feel free to put whatever music up - as long as IT'S NOT ILLEGAL or an ILLEGITIMATE COPY. If anything illegal is found in your account (including Warez Software, Illegal MP3's, Pornography etc.), your account will be IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED without any notice. Â All the best
austiniskoge 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2006 And I love you guys for that. I've got ten songs for download at my band's site.  Too bad I've barely got any visitors... but when I do get some, I'll be pushing the bandwidth limit  Thanks Xisto!

jimmy89 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2007 myspace only lets you play music that is hosted by myspace music! thats if you are using their flash music player. if you are using another embeded music player you can go from anywhere that can host music files. just remember copyright laws and you should be fine!-jimmy89

srgates91 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 projectplaylist.com is in my opinion the best music site there is. You can listen to music for free and also upload a playlist to myspace for free! It's incredible. I use it almost every day.
