jcguy 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2005 I've recently started putting Google Adsense ad units on my website. I've read often on the Internet that the colours and styles of your Adsense ad units can improve your click-through rate and earn you more money. Such methods include blending the colours of your ad units into your page's background. Does this work? Have any more tips to share? VisionGraffix 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2005 Blue is a proven a color that works for increasing the chances of someone decidiing to click one of your links. You don't really want to blend the ads into the page too much. The best way to get a basic idea on how to present ads to increase the click rate is to visit LARGE websites and see how they do it. Visit Yahoo, Google, and other major money making companies. These guys pay alot of money to make their advertising work, so this is the best source of information on how to present such an ad.VG
iGuest 3 Report post Posted September 18, 2005 I'll have to disagree on a certain statement, in my opinion, you should blend the adsense onto your site well. It looks good as a design element, therefore providing beneficial on that certain aspect.Just look at GAIAOnline, the largest forum in the world. They tend to put the ads on the right so when you try to use the scroll, you might accidentally click it. Pretty smart, and tricky too! You should use that method.
