Christmas Tree

well does anyone else have the feeling they want to put up the christmas tree (i am not really into christmas and the tree does my head in putting it up that i have not putting it up for years) but it would look lovely to finish it and see the tree up (i never finished it the first time i put it up as i could not get the tinsel around the tree)

maybe i will or not dont even know if it is all together as i only ever used the tree once (Christmas eve 2009) and it did not go well.

 

 

by the way everyone sorry for boring you i was bored so i started this topic for two reasons

(1) get another topic on the forums

(2) and to bore the living daylights out of others (only kidding)

Christmas trees help create the festive spirit. If you invite friends and family over to your home then a tree is definitely something you ought to have. If you head out to be with family during the holiday season then it is probably something that you could skip, but not entirely because you would be seeing a tree at wherever it is you will be spending the holiday.

There are the instant Christmas trees that have all of the decoration on it when you unpack it - it's something you could consider if you don't want to have to set it up only to have to take it down after the holiday season ends. It isn't as much fun as decorating the Christmas tree yourself because that is part of the Christmas experience.

i decided against the tree sorry, but i could not cheesed doing it plus i threw out the balls awhile ago and forgot about it (they where getting broken and lying on the kitchen floor and i was afraid of standing on them) anyway at least it is another topic for the forums.

I do this every year. I have lots of lights and strings of sparkly tinsel that I have in years past hung along the roof of the kennel. I think about it every year. And then almost every year I get to thinking about all the million other things that I really need to be spending my time doing, so I always talk myself out of it. Been thinking about that for the last few days as a matter of fact. But I decided that I needed to rake up all the leaves in and in front of all the pens along the front row. It was really getting pretty deep with leaves. Since it was nice out today, and the wind wasn't too bad, even though I wanted to work on the flower bed I figured the kennel better come first. Now I'm tired and sore as all get out, but the place sure does look a lot better.

And no, your not boring us. I'm glad you posted about something, anything actually! I'm running out of boring stuff to talk about myself! Nice to be able to just reply and not have to come up with something to talk about myself. Go ahead, just keep talking about something.

at least it is another topic, if you are putting a tree up this year make sure to read the instructions or look them up

i could not get the tree up in 2009 when i tried it (well i got the tree up) but the tinsel would not go on it right, and it looked like a drag queen (a really badly dressed one) a proper tree (with tinsel, lights, and balls) is beatiful if you do it right,

 

now that i read this comment back i have no idea why on earth i created this topic lol

but like i said its always another topic.

You are right, we do need to get more activity here on the forum. I usually do not find much to reply to like I used to about a year ago. Right now, it seems like it is just the three of us here, apart from the spambots that keep dropping their spam into new threads and some old threads. I do keep reporting some of the spam in hopes that it would go away. Perhaps Invision Power Board does not have an option to hold messages for moderation based on factors such as the presence of a hyperlink or multiple hyperlinks in a message posted by a user with fewer than a certain number of posts on the forum.

I set up a Christmas tree once and did not really have to look at the instructions (all the instructions said was to turn the dial on the music box to change the tunes, which was really obvious anyway). It was not a real tree but rather a synthetic one and was small enough to not get unmanageable. It looked really small when packed but as soon as the branches of the tree were unfolded, it looked almost like the real thing. After a bunch of decorations and plugging in the lights, it created a festive environment and we had some carol singers who came by after seeing the tree from the window.

i keep reporting it to k_nitin_r but i keep thinking i should not botter as it does no good as the moderator must just ignore the alert, or there is something wrong on the coding in the forums, it seems to get worst when you report as there is more than there was before you report spam.

i thought you where not allowed to spam, or even display the urls without spelling it

like dingdong dot com (instead of dingdong.com) must be getting lax and the admin must be on his Christmas holidays usally he is very good and you see him around the place but have not seen him in a while.

 

the best christmas trees you guys in the sort you do not have to set up yourself if only the fairies and pixies would make the christmas tree for me lol (irish sterotype btw lol the fairies and pixies part)

LOL, yes we sort of are becoming the three musketeers aren't we? And a rather unlikely trio, I'm not sure how much evil we could combat if turned loose on the world, but at least we can entertain each other a little here at Xisto.

 

Spam has gotten rather bad lately hasn't it? Annoying isn't it, because as much as you want to make comments and get a conversation going with someone you can't reply to them or it just makes it worse. Oh well, at least we have each other!

yes Sheepdog at least we have each other (the 3 of us) we seem to be the only ones who come on often,

except the spammers who come on create an account (or not sometimes) and then create their spam and then have it away on their toes

that and people who create profiles and do one comment and then they are away never to be heard from again,

well at least we are trying to keep the place busy anyway, hope you guys have a lovely day/night
