youtuy 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2013 I've bought a pdf format ebook and would like to quote some sections to make a word or PPT presentation for my teaching class, buy somehow I can only copy text but not the charts and photos which are the most important things. So how can I convert the pdf ebook to word or PPT document without changing the original layouts? Can Adobe do that? Or any other software?

Saint_Michael 3 Report post Posted January 21, 2013 Well, you have two ways to get an image and that is either to use Acrobat or Reader. With Acrobat, you open the PDF file and then select Tools > Content > Edit Object, you then click on the image you want to copy in order to select it. Then, you right click and select copy and your image can be pasted anywhere. As for Reader, you need to click on the selection tool in the toolbar up top and then select your image, but you can click on the image itself and it should select, but refer to the first method I mention. As for converting the PDF, you will need at least Acrobat XI to convert it to Power Point and with Word, at least Acrobat X, but like I mention in how to select an image and copy it you won't have to convert the whole PDF file to Word or Power Point. mamer 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2013 With Adobe Professional you can do that. Even if the conversion doesn't keep the original layout you still can copy images and charts and paste them in your word document. But you might be looking for a quick solution that doesn't cost money.Avery simple print screen from the keybord and pasting the result image into the windows paint program will do a good job. Then you could crop the result image to just take from it what you need. It's a Newbie solution but it works.
