mrdee 1 Report post Posted December 21, 2012 I am beginning to wonder if the MyCents script has been running lately. For about a week now, my MyCents total has remained the same, while I have made some posts regularly.OK, I don't mean that I have posted to earn $20 in credits, but there should definitely be a difference, which, as I said before, is not being added at all.Could someone look into that, please? jlhaslip 4 Report post Posted December 22, 2012 maybe start a new support ticket at Xisto - Support.comor wait for OpaQue to finish coding for the changes in the updated forum version???
mrdee 1 Report post Posted December 22, 2012 Ok, Jim.The thing is, I did not have a clue there was a new version and hence the need for a new MyCents script. In that case, I will just wait a little longer, and maybe, if there is no change, raise a ticket with Xisto - Support. Thanks for letting me know. velma 6 Report post Posted December 24, 2012 I was tempted to make a good / bad behavior joke since Christmas is around the corner but in reality it is because OpaQue is tweaking the mycent script along with a lot of other things.I will be making a topic about the mycents and a few other things in a bit.. Give it a day or two, everyone should get their credit.. Opaque decided to tweak the script so that it gives out a more accurate amount of mycent.. Just some testing going on to make sure that people are not over compensated or under compensated

Especially at this point in the site's life, I think being more communicative to the community as to changes, effects, etc. is pretty important. It helps us see that things are happening, as well as better understand the direction and how they impact us as users.
mrdee 1 Report post Posted December 31, 2012 OK, fine.My MyCents balance has now been adjusted, and it looks like everything is working now.I do appreciate a whole lot of work probably went into it, and a lot of coding, re-coding, testing and re-testing was required, as is always the case when software updates and you want to update your own adjustments and/or additions with it.In other words, it looks like OpaQue has been putting a lot of hard work or effort in, for which I send him a heartfelt "Thank you" herewith. It would be nice, however, if the "surprise effect" were left behind. What I mean is: I noticed that my credit had stopped updating, so I obviously posted about it in this very post, and I received a reply which contained the following words: or wait for OpaQue to finish coding for the changes in the updated forum version???That was the first I had heard about the adjustments to the script, so, it would be good if it was announced in the proper topic when this happens or is about to happen, and if it did and I missed it, then, please accept my humble apologies. My wishes for the new year i am going to leave for a different topic. rpgsearcherz 5 Report post Posted January 2, 2013 it would be good if it was announced in the proper topic when this happens or is about to happen, and if it did and I missed it, then, please accept my humble apologies. This right here. We need more transparency as to what's going on. While I'm not against the "wait until things are updated" stance, it would be a lot better for everyone (and lead to far less questions and complaints) if updates were given and things were more open to the members. Sitting around wondering is what causes the influx of negative remarks/post/threads and questions.
