sheepdog 10 Report post Posted September 1, 2012 I noticed that recently my computer will not "remember" things that I have typed before on websites that I visit frequently, like the dog registry site I always use that already had lots of my dogs listed in the memory and all I had to do was scroll down highlight and click to enter the information on the form. It enabled me to do routine work quickly and efficently. But now many of the sites I use don't have this feature available. So I'm not really sure if it's some setting that has changed in my computer or the web sites are designed that way to not allow auto fill. Anybody have any ideas or can you tell me how to check my own computer to see if the setting has changed?
demonboy1990 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2012 if you are in firefox go into tools - options - security - where it says passwords make sure both options are ticked and then click ok and it should remember your passwords again.if you are in google chrome tools icon - settings - show advanced settings - passwords and forms (make sure both options are ticked) and away you go.in internet explorer; tools - internet options - content - find autocomplete - settings - and tick all the things you want to say click ok and ok to exit internet options.hope this helps sheepdogif you have another browser try looking for tools or settings and look in the menu you should find it. sheepdog 10 Report post Posted September 12, 2012 Thanks, I'll give that a try. I have IE. Forget which version by now. It sure would save me a ton of time if I didn't have to keep typing everything over and over.
rpgsearcherz 5 Report post Posted September 12, 2012 Thanks, I'll give that a try. I have IE. Forget which version by now. It sure would save me a ton of time if I didn't have to keep typing everything over and over. First step: move away from IE and into Chrome or Firefox (I prefer Chrome due to its layout). IE's always given me problems, and is probably where your issue is coming from. What you are asking about in terms of your autofill is a core part of Chrome as well! sheepdog 10 Report post Posted November 19, 2012 Thanks C41, I actually got that to work for me. I'm sure glad, I hate typing the same stuff over and over. Now, if I could just get the folks who have a transport company that I use all the time to fix their web site so I could use my auto fill on it I'd be happy. I guess no matter what your settings are some web sites just don't allow auto fill.
