I think all editor is the best for s/he, it up to u - comfortable, fast, tools, language to support or anything. I choose Notepad - fast, support my language and easy to use.

i just use dreamweaver mx, it makes all the code clear. tbh, i use dreamweaver for editing most web page files

I use notepad it's really simple...where as dreamweaver takes ages to load and is sort of more confusing...Notepad rocks...I use it for EVERYTHIN//./seriously lmao

I use winsyntax so u can see if u forgot a '>' or something

I use Eclipse, it is a big IDE hasing lots of plugins actually. I usually use it with my java program. But now i found a plugin for php. You can use Apache,mysql,php in single tools. Another choice is Zend Studio. Zend is the company that is writing the scripting engine in PHP. It has a lot of features such as code completion and debugging. It's really nice. btw, Komodo is also a very nice editor that supports several languages.
