F-18 Fly Beside Detroit Apartment

Recommended Posts

Aw, c'mon. This picture is so fake. It would be splashed all over the news if that had actually happened. if you look at the plane, it looks like it's kind of leaning to one side. I may not be much of an aviation expert, but for an F-18 to go at that kind of wonky angle, it needs to have a pretty decent amount of thrust. Enough thrust, say, to blow out the windows in the apartment and deafen, if not throw off, the man "inspecting" the plane. And anyhow, the jet wouldn't fly so low. If it hit a tree or building with just a little wing scrape, it's going to be no miracle on the Hudson..... Just a big ball of flame. But, back in October or so, (I think in '09), there was some kind of airplane being escorted by an F-18 flying over New York... Scared the heck out of the locals. That was close. But this is a lot closer. I'm going to have to say that this picture is fake. Whoever made it has a thing for Photoshop, though.

The aircraft in the image looks like one of those model airplanes that you can buy which you glue together. I am not sure how long these planes are, but i get the impression that i should be able to see some tip of the back of the aircraft through one of the windows of the apartments. Secondly, the shadow at the bottom wing doesn't add up like the other shadows do. It could be argued that it is the shadow of one of the balconies; however, the light isn't coming from that direction. Also, i really doubt these planes have the authority to fly so low to civilian ground. :) !

There is no way that picture is a fake! No way!

As a matter of fact it reminds me of one time when I flew from Diesal Illinois to Allemagro South Carolina.
Some people on board decided to open a side panel of the plane, and since it was rather hot and stuffy inside the plane, it created a nice breeze.
Anyway some people on board had some parachutes in their carry on bags and decided to do some air surfing.
My friend walked out on the wing and took this photo :

Now that was a thrill to see!
