I have used Google desktop, Yahoo desktop and now msn desktop searching tools. I find it yahoo desktop search very useful. It simplifies my most of the work. I don?t have to open a file to see its content. By giving extension name in the type field I can search any types of files, while in google & msn it limits to certain common formats like, E-mail, Excel, Powerpoint etc.Does anyone know any better & safe desktop search engine? Please let me know.

I did not use any of the desktop search engine you have talked about. Because I have heard that they have spyware in them. I think there is one desktop search engine named Copernicus which also has inbuilt Web Search Engine that can search many search engines like yahoo, msn, alta vista ....You can give a try to it.

Hmm, I'm not sure, I freaking love google, might get that. ?_? Allthough, I recently got picasso, which is a image searcher for hte computer, it kicks *bottom*, in my opinion. It showed me every single pic on my computer, and some of them where quite strange, for instance I relized that a message board source I downloaded had pornographic images on it. I kind of doubt that google would have spyware, but, I am allmost positive yahoo would be the kind of place to give spyware, and microsoft, well, you just know they do. They allways want to find out what people are doing, from sn to windows media player they monitor it all..

I love google but i have never hear of this.. can you give me a link or some more infor or take a screan shot and send it to me or any thing lol
