Cloud Computing New Technology

Cloud Computing is becoming very famous now a days, many countries are investing on this technology to get their share in the future. What is cloud computing. In my view cloud computing is OS and application is installed somewhere in clouds (in different servers around the world) and user just need to connect with the computer and just start working wihout installing that specific application to their computer. It will help companies to reduce their cost as they dont need to purchase expensive infrastructure to run different applications. there are cetain issues like privacy that must be address to make it sucessful. As no body want to share their information!

One big example of the Cloud Computing is the Google Apps. Cloud Computing technology have been widely welcome by businesses to reduce cost and contributes to the success of Google Apps and their popularity. However recent downtime of the Google have been the main talk of town which cloud computing might be the cause of the problem.

From some news websites, I learned that corporates are reluctant to adopt cloud computing as their messages and files will be stored in a cloud owned and operated by someone else.

That's exactly how I feel. I don't really trust having everything that is meaningful to me out in an area where someone (and who knows who?!) can see it. I remember a while back when... I think it was ATT got hacked and the guy who did it sent them a list of 10,000 of their users' information including credit card numbers, maiden names, passwords, and everything else about them.

Ever since then I've been a lot more wary about what I do online. Just because the people you are giving the information to are good people doesn't mean the hackers are.

From what i have seen so far with cloud computing is good. Seems to really work the way they intended it too. I just hope more companies expand and start using it.

good question...cloud computing is a growing computing technique in present scenario.its a platform on which one can work from a far distance (physically not present on the cloud system).suppose you install a cloud system in a big super computer capable of handling a lot of application load and have a great resource and when one use the cloud platform with even 128mb of ram ,,he or she willl be able to work on those application also that need even 1gb of ram.
the second benefit is that you can use those application also that you have not installed in your own system.
the third application is that you are full of data security.
currently g.ho.st is providing a free cloud computing named as zoho platform.
in near future we all will be driving our data in clouds....
