Phpmyadmin Subdomain Access Access phpmyadmin from a subdomain (without cpanel)

Recommended Posts

Hello,I was wondering if there is a way to access each of my subdomains individual phpmyadmin database without having to access cpanel. Something like the following: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/, and that would take me to that subdomains database? Is it possible? I have seen it before in another webserver and I was wondering if this was possible here. Thanks :)

you can try phpminiadmin. put phpminiadmin.php inside your website and you can access it from yoursite.com/phpminiadmin.php you can also change your subdomain or another url to redirect to a page (like phpmyadmin url which is http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/). try it, i hope it works

I think the only way to achieve that is to do as those other sites are doing and install phpMyAdmin yourself on your hosting. This gives you control over more of the setup options, which you can't change on the version already installed in cPanel. However, I have never tried installing phpMyAdmin on the hosting here, so check the requirements first to make sure you can get it to run.

I have never tried it, but I don't see why not. phpMyAdmin just asks for the same SQL stuff as any other script, so can access the database. Like I say, never tried it, but it's free so you've nothing to lose by trying it out.
