stefan_pavikevik 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 I preffer GIMP too, because it is OpenSource and Free. It is fast and reliable alternative to Photoshop. It support .psd files which are very popular. I use GIMP, GimpShop and eventually paint.net. They are very good for professional graphichs. Photoshop is commercial, so I don't preffer it. Also if you need photoshop, there is online version which is fully free. http://www.photoshop.com/I also use other online photo editing tools as:http://www.picnik.com/http://fotoflexer.com/I used photoshop on my old computer, once upon a time...But I wasn't impressed by it, because it is commercial (for first), it is so slow, with many bugs, so that is it. Quatrux 4 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 As I'm not a designer nor I want to be one, I just do simple graphics, whenever I need, so I also use a free alternative GIMP and I'm quite satisfied with it, especially because now more and more people are using it and there are lots of tutorials for it now how to get one or another effect, lots of things in Photoshop can be done on Gimp, even though I noticed that Gimp is not moving forward for the past two years, even though it's updating, there's nothing really new. kittycatlover763 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2009 photoflexer?i should try that sometime.the gimp community has lots of tutorials, and stuff but when i search for dowloadable brushes and they are all in .pdf file form and i dont know how to convert them into gimp files. i also learned about this other image editing program online:imikimi.com/it has the ability to share photos and add cool effects but their logo in every corner is rather annoying and its hard to make a kimi. Echo_of_thunder 1 Report post Posted February 20, 2009 Well I started out with paintshop pro, then moved over to fireworks. Now I am doing around with Gimp. Just wish there was a program that could so what all three of them could do in one and for free
