mahesh2k 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2009 Today i came across one site called shareware.pro which is scam site which sells freeware software at 5 Euro. Anyone have idea where to report these scam sites? You can browse that site and can see it created duplicate pages for avast/utorrent/windows live messnger/nero etc. I reported this site to : phishtank.com and Web of trust (Firefox plugin)So if you know any reporting services where you can report phish/spam/scam do let me know. Xalor 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2009 You can actually report sites like those to the authorities, or some sort of nearby internet theft prevention society. I really don't think anyone will take heed, unless you can report that someone was actually scammed, and write a petition against it. You can't actually prove its a phishing or scamming site unless it has done something to you. WOT usually gets it blocked, because it takes guard against phishing and scamming, it even says Quipis is a scamming site.
mahesh2k 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2009 Thanks for reply Xalor. As you can see that site is selling avast, Windows live messenger and utorrent for some price. Which is wrong cause they're free software and selling without software owners permission is not legal. and if we allow such bummers to walk freely on the internet then you know what will happen to us later. For qupis as spamming site, let me check it i'll counter that on WOT as i'm part of this Xisto community. How can we let false alram on good sites? Coming back to topic, you can see even google is testing their phishing and spyware database. as few hours ago they marked almost every site you search on google as spyware, including their own . Try codding horror for fun.
